This book is truly a work of art. The quality of the pics of this book is wonderful. Several images just need a frame to decorate your wall. We have spent hours pouring over the detail in this book. It makes a wonderful gift or addition to a collection. Highly recommended.
This is a coffee Table book.
Confused collection of passable photography.......2006-05-30
Kloster offers a confusing array of atmospheres - grainy shots of lifestylers, Maybelline models wearing vinyl teddies and comically unconvincing sneers, one saddening shot of a little Russian prostitute posing leadenly in fetish heels, amateurish (and not charming) shots of preened and posturing club celebs. To call this "a visual exploration of fetish" is misleading. This is a jumbled mess of people wearing unusual clothing.

"A visual exploration of fetish" describes it quite well. Rubber dresses, cross dressers, homosexuals in drag, Catholic school girls, whips, spanking. You couldn't ask for much more.
This book is charged erotica in picture form. It's an explosion of colors and attitude in a way that will make even the most ardently celibate want to dabble.
The only problem? There isn't nearly enough pictures. This book should've been about 300 pages.

Well, besides the fact that my ex-girlfriend has been on the cover and inside of all three of Doris's book, it's an evocative book that makes you wonder about the photo subject's everyday lives.

Sometime the photographer have to capture weird things, and this book is not short of them. Is not for everyone, but the photograps are interesting.

Book Description
In this book, Paul Anand examines the normative interpretation of Subjective Expected Utility (SEU). He tests the philosophical and logical basis for associating SEU with rational choice. Decision theorists have increasingly come to accept the experimental evidence that subjects systematically violate the axiomatic assumptions of SEU, and as a result the past decade has witnessed an explosion of mathematical models that seek to capture this behaviour. A current issue is whether axioms of SEU really are canons of rationality. Anand discusses whether the new decision-theoretic models are more than just accounts of irrational behaviour. The main themes of the book are that, empirically, SEU is false, and that normatively it imposes unnecessary constraints on rational agency. Problems with Bayesianism are introduced and it is shown that useful distinctions between risk and uncertainty (in a Keynesian sense) can be made. Some of the radical methodological changes in economics that underpin theoretical developments in decision theory and economics are also discussed.

Paul Anand takes the Subjective Expected Utility Theory (SEU) to the task in this conscise introduction to decision theory. Anand demonstrates deep knowledge of decision theory and its limitations as revealed by work in experimental psychology. Normative implications of mathematically based choice theories are discussed. Useful as a reference for a specialist, this book will open new vistas to nonspecialists interested in ideas of human choice, rationality, and implications of our decisions.

The realness of Corrie's struggles as she ministers after getting out of the concentration camp are very powerful. They let the reader know about the struggles that come from every day life and serving the Lord. Corrie's wide spectrum of experiences that she shares, from meeting and forgiving one of her guards from the concentration camp to just needing to stay awake and minister when she is very tired, let you know that God is faithful in every circumstance...even the little ones.

He is the Vine, we are the branches.......2000-05-30
This book teaches us the importance of obeying the Lord's Word, and commands. I relate it to the story of Jesus being the Vine and we are the branches. If the branches are cut off from the vine, they whither and die. Dead branches are then worthless, producing no fruit. So, then we throw them into the fire. This is what our lives are like, as Corrie shows us, apart from our Saviour, we can do nothing. She shows us how we have to abide in Him if our lives are to bear fruit and have meaning. She uses her experiences in this book, from people and the lessons the Lord taught her from her travels around the world. All of Corrie's books remain so helpful and encouraging!
