Warning - 1996 Technology !.......2002-09-16

Calling this book an update is like saying you're going to update your car by buying a 1974 Holden Torana. This book was published in 1997, so it's limited to describing 1996 technology, no S/PDIF, AES/EBU, SDI, etc. The URL given in the book for the update website no longer exists. It is also very very basic, it looks at each piece of technology from a black box, user perspective - talking more about what it does than how it does it. If you really have no idea how the weatherman makes it from the studio into your home, then buy this book.

Easy to understand primer for the new broadcast technologies.......1999-03-11

If you are like me and have been in the television broadcast industry for some 20 years, this book is an excellent place to begin to understand the industry's change from analog to digital broadcasting. Each chapter gives a brief history of the technology it is discussing and moves on to what the industry is using today, and in some cases, what can be expected in the future. The terms used are simple and easy to understand, and in some cases too easy and not technical enough for my liking. One of the best things about this book is the associated web site which discusses new technology that has come to the market since the book's publication. If a basic foundation to the new digital broadcast technology is what you are looking for, I recommend this book.

Okay, but it needs more Human Resource Letters.......2000-05-20

I am an Executive Human Resources Assistant. I need letters to nicely turn away candidates for jobs. I need a variety. This book does not offer more than 2 samples in this area. I did not find it very useful at all in that regard.

Simple and basic, but provides the outline you need........1999-07-16

It provides the guidance and logic of the letter, allowing you to do the tailoring. Use the book's contents to identify the letter. For each letter you will get a bulleted list of what should be covered in the letter as well as a complete sample letter. The book is in a neat, clean simple format, making it very easy to use and read. All of the letters contained in this book are available on computer disk -- however this is a separate purchase.

I will strognly recommend this book to anyone but particularly to those who have family, friends or known persons who are terminally ill. Sometimes people do not know what to do in those cases this books offers an answer, hope and consolation to those going through the sorrow of losing a love one. I can asure you that once you read this book you will no longer fear death but embrace it and accept it as a continuation of life. It will also teach you how to deal with the dying and help them hrough their passage into their new life. People in the health profession who are so often dealing with this isuues should read this book offer the relatives and patients the comfort and understanding they so much need in difficult times when someone is terminally ill. It will make you definitely a much better and concsientious person.

This book is one of the best I've ever read. It relates the power of the presidency to the Suez Crisis. This book is a good read and perfect for research on this topic.
