Book Description
Cincinnati was transformed to Cin-sow-nati in the summer of 2000. The Big Pig Gig, a public art initiative, brought local artists, businesses, community and arts organizations, schools and individuals together in an unprecedented way to have fun and celebrate Cincinnati's porkopolis past. More than 400 decorated life size fiberglass pigs were placed in downtown Cincinnati, Ohio and Covington and Newport, Kentucky. Fifty schools participated by creating gig pigs. Artists submitted over 1,000 proposed pig designs for the official "Porkfolio." The Big Pig Gig: "Celebrating Pigs in the City" is the official keepsake publication of the Big Pig Gig. In it, you will find pictures of the pigs. You will learn how the Big Pig Gig came to be such a success in Cincinnati. You will learn "Why Pigs?" With text by noted Cincinnati columnist Laura Pulfer and local writer, historian and editor Rick Pender, this book is your souvenir of the fun that took over Cincinnati with the Big Pig Gig. Most importantly, the Big Pig Gig was about Cincinnatians having fun with their shared porkopolis historyand judging by the limitless smiles of residents and tourists as they viewed the pigs, the Big Pig Gig was an overwhelming success!

YEs, pigs in the city ARe worth celebrating!.......2001-11-16
I admire this book. As a leader in the art community in Seattle who was responsible for bringing the successful Pigs on Parade to the city, I can truly appreciate what Rick Bender and Laura Pulfer are portratying in this book. As an art community leader who successfully oversaw the marriage of the corporate world and art, I can truly attest to how "Pigs on Parade" type public art displays can truly foster civic spirit.
Big Pig Gig Book Wonderful.......2000-11-04
I am still going through the book. The pictures are bringing back fond memories as I already miss seeing the pigs on the street. The pictures are great. I love the use of sunshine and shadows used in the pictures to highlight the pigs. I did not take any pictures of the pigs and regretted not doing that. The quality of the book is very fine. The book came so well wrapped I wondered what it was at first. Thank you for taking such good care of delivery of my beautiful book.
This book was a gift from my son and daughter in law for my birthday. It was hard to wait for it, but well worth the wait. It will be fun to pull it out when I need a "pick-me-up".
Very pleased with my gift.
These pigs brought out the best in the city.......2000-10-24
This book is a beautiful pictoral documentary of Cincinnati's Big Pig Gig. To truly be able to appreciate what a sucessful event it was, you had to share the sidewalk with these giant colorful swine- and see the smiles spreading from one face to the next as people encountered them in real life. This book will be the next best thing for anyone who sadly missed the fun. Anyone who got to see the pigs, will want this book to remember them, and anyone who was not able to see the Gig will want to view this great collection .
People who love or collect pigs, who love art or whimsy will enjoy the pictures. It is a coffee table book that is small enough to fit on a bookshelf (like the small Cows on Parade picture book). It is a very interesting journey through varations on a theme and shows the limitless possibilities even within a very constrained (but slightly silly) format- a must for an art teacher! There are between one and four pigs featured on each page and the pictures are very clear and bright. There were three fiberglass pig forms which were transformed into four hundred individual and amazing works of art.
The downside of the book is that it is short on text. There are interesting behind the scenes stories about these pigs and the artists that are not included in the book. Many of the pigs are rich with meaning, historic and art historic and local reference that might not be obvious from a single glance, the angle of the photo or the title of the piece. If these stories had been included, the readers might have better understanding of the artist's intent.

Graphic SF Reader.......2007-09-03
A superhero dies coitus incompletus, so to speak. It turns out that he went through a lot of women, but lots of them actually were chasing him, some effect of his powers did things they really liked, other than the Atlas like build.
There is a backup feature where comics writer Warren Ellis does a Cops type thing and goes along on a case of Walker's. Bad things happen.
Good Powers Story That Suffers From TPB Format.......2006-10-31
I am liking Bendis' Powers more and more with each subsequent volume. The series tells the story of a world where superheroes are very common. Known as powers, these people try to protect the city from more sinister powers, though there is a good amount of corruption and ineptitude throughout the ranks of the powers. That is why there are people like Det. Christian Walker and Det. Deena Pilgrim, who work in the powers-related crimes department of the police precint. If a powers is killed, commits homocide, or is involved in any other type of crime, Walker and Pilgrim are on the scene to investigate.
The main story in Little Deaths has to do with the death of Olympia, a powers who was admired by many women for his good looks and strong build. When he is found dead in a ratty apartment building without any marks or blood, Walker and Pilgrim begin an investigation that for a long time leads absolutely nowhere aside from the fact that Olympia apparently had a redhead fetish. Ridealong is a brilliant one-shot story with guest star Warren Ellis as himself! Bendis writes his colleague into the story to serve as a shadow to Walker. Ellis is writing a new crime comic and wants to make it as realistic as possible. What ensues are a bunch of awkward moments between Ellis and Walker, who is none too pleased to have some random guy tagging along on an assignment. One small problem with Ridealong is that it is issue 7, but it is put after issue 15 in the TPB format, and there are references to the Who Killed Retro Girl? arc that may seem weird and outdated if the reader didn't know that the issue was supposed to take place before the second trade paperback.
Other material includes the special Issue 1/2, the annual, and the Powers coloring book, which is absolutely hilarious (it makes fun of superhero genre cliches).
The biggest problem with this collection is not the story but the binding. Bendis uses a lot of 2-page spreads, and some of the art and dialogue gets lost in the binding, which is extremely annoying. However, if you can get over this, the art and dialogue that you can see is great.
The pothole in the Powers road........2006-03-13
Brian Michael Bendis, Powers: Little Deaths (Image, 2001)
I'm still not quite sure what to make of Little Deaths, the third book in Brian Michael Bendis' Powers series. For one thing, there's a story arc to it-- kind of-- but that takes up very little time. For another, the things we've come to care about in the series-- the characters-- also take second stage. This is a book that feels like Bendis had wanted to do projects like this while working on some other lines, and since he now had his own, he was capable of doing them, so he sat down and did them. A coloring book? I mean, come on.
The stories, when they're there, are up to the usual standard. Warren Ellis takes center stage in the second story as a ride-along on one of Walker's calls, a scandal surrounds superhero Olympia when he dies while having an affair, and an outcast superhero and his old nemesis meet for a final time. There's some setting up of the next volume-- specifically, the ubiquitousness and power of the tabloid press in Bendis' dysfunctional metropolis-- but, really, this volume simply isn't integral to the series, and can safely be skipped. ** ½
Not As Good As Other.......2003-09-07
This book is not a single storyline, like the other books in the series, but rather three different stories--the death of a popular super hero, a fun annual featuring Warren Ellis as himself, and a has-been hero involved in a (semi) mysterious plot.
While not exactly fitting into the ongoing continuity of the series, this collection offers another unique look at Bendis' and Oeming's super hero world. Included in this odd compilation is a People-esque "Powers" magazine, an entire script from an unseen court case, and a humorous section of a coloring book. Some notables in this collection are Oeming's stylish noir style, the good coloring work, and, of course, Bendis' fantastic dialogue and writing.
Even though this volume doesn't really fit into the continuity of the series, and is not as strong as other books in the series, it is definitely worth checking out by "Powers" fans.
NOTE: this book is recommended for older readers due to strong language and violence/gore (a comic book equivalent to an R-rated movie).
Bendis Never Fails to Please.......2003-03-17
The third volume of the Powers saga continues the high quality story from the first two, and ends with a cliffhanger that will leave you dying for volume 4. While the main story is pretty short, there are a lot of fun extras. If you have not read Powers, you should.

Uncle John's Bathroom Reader Plunges into the Universe.......2004-06-10
This is an excellant book to use either as a reference for school or to read for fun (or both). This (as well as all of the others) is a great gift for anyone who is interested in learning about inner and outer space. All of the Bathroom books make interesting reading on a vast variety of subjects. As the saying goes,"Try it, you'll like it".
the ultimate guy book.......2003-04-16
The husband starts telling me that the heart isn't really on the left side of the chest, it's just that the left ventricle is bigger, and why it developed that way. How did he acquire this arcane knowledge? Uncle John's "Plunges Into the Universe," of course.
My husband loves this book. I got it for him as gift (an entirely successful gift), and he keeps showing me things. Math Mnemonics: did you know that you can remember the order of Roman numerals (L, C, D, M) if you can recall "Lucky Cows Drink Milk"? In this book you can also find out more than you ever wanted to know about dead-skin-chomping dust mites, the teeth of elephants, space-travel foods developed by NASA, plus the ever popular "much, much more!"
Short articles full of fascinating trivia with a lively presentation -- the perfect gift for the geek-on-the-run who doesn't have time to read more than "Scientific American" articles but Wants To Know Everything Anyway.
More fun than I expected.......2003-01-09
Lots of quick enjoyable reads in this book and a good laugh or two -- something for almost everybody. I especially liked the article about using flowers and fish to predict the weather... the sort of thing you'd only find in Uncle John. My hubby liked the info about the sturdiness of houses built out of dung. He's ready to try it if our rent goes up again... Yep there's good stuff in this book.
Strangely disappointing.......2002-12-28
I usually love this series of books, but apparently Uncle John has a new author/editor who is bent on trying to be cute and witty, which comes off trite and boring...even distracting. I used to pick up these books without a second thought. No longer the case.
Book Description
The stereotypical hillbilly figure in popular culture provokes a range of responses, from bemused affection for Ma and Pa Kettle to outright fear of the mountain men in Deliverance. In Hillbillyland, J. W. Williamson investigates why hillbilly images are so pervasive in our culture and what purposes they serve. He has mined more than 800 movies, from early nickelodeon one-reelers to contemporary films such as Thelma and Louise and Raising Arizona, for representations of hillbillies in their recurring roles as symbolic 'cultural others.' Williamson's hillbillies live not only in the hills of the South but anywhere on the rough edge of society. And they are not just men; women can be hillbillies, too. According to Williamson, mainstream America responds to hillbillies because they embody our fears and hopes and a romantic vision of the past. They are clowns, children, free spirits, or wild people through whom we live vicariously while being reassured about our own standing in society.

D.W. Griffith meets Andy Griffith (and the Coen brothers).......2005-03-03
This is a well-researched look at Hollywood's never-ending fascination with moonshine, country bumpkins, and what goes on up there in the hills beyond Beverly. In the early 1920s as more people moved to the cities, Hollywood found it could make money telling audiences about the places they'd left behind. Lurid tales of sex and debauchery, such as 1950's "Tobacco Road," undercut the good-hearted goofiness of the Ma and Pa Kettle series of the 1940s. By the 1990s, the Coen brothers' "Raising Arizona" was a hit on the strength of Nicolas Cage's ironic portrayal of a lovable yokel (an updated edition of this book would have to include the current TV show "My Name Is Earl," proving this archetype isn't dead by a long shot).
Williamson covers a lot of ground here, from "The Andy Griffith Show" to John Boorman's "Deliverance," and his conclusions are fairly broad ones. His best writing narrows focus on a specific film or theme: the on-location making of the log-cabin potboiler "Stark Love" (1926) is wildly detailed, with newspaper reporting and interviews with local extras who made appearances in the film as members of an "authentic" mountain family. Lots of movie stills, contemporary cartoons, and detailed captions accompany the text. At times the book reads like a college course -- Williamson is a professor at Appalachian State University in North Carolina, and acknowledges the input of several students -- but for film buffs and general readers, "Hillbillyland" is an entertaining look at how the film industry exploits one facet of American culture.

Customer Reviews:
Not for beginners and not for professionals.......2007-05-03
It is hard to tell who this book is geared towards. A novice should not take on any event that is as over their head; as most of the event situations that are listed in the book are. A professional would know from experience the answers to most of the questions or they would have the common sense to take care of any odd situation that arose. The book may be helpful to assistant managers or banquet captains, but most houses have their own way of doing things. Interesting read and a good refresher, buy used.
Very useful Hand Book.......2007-03-10
It was very useful to me as I used it to brak into the wedding/event business. It presents a very corporate approach, yet it seems to uncover all kinds of secrets of the event world that are hidden to the public eye.
This Book is Alright.......2006-08-09
Being an avid reader of Event Planning literature, I must say that this book is alright.
Packed with Knowledge!.......2005-10-14
Details, details, details. That's really what successful event planning is all about, and that's the key to this very successful event-planning manual. Author Judy Allen notes, lists, copes with and gives an example of virtually every detail in planning anything from a sedate corporate event in a major city to a huge celebration on a remote island. She provides examples galore plus tips, questions and answers, sample cost sheets and schedules. How much floor space does a person need to be comfortable in a tent? Answer: 20 square feet. How many bathrooms should be available for a party? Answer: One per 75 guests. And don't forget to ask about the stemware, adequate parking and even the photographer's back-up camera battery. This author seems to have thought every contingency, as the book's ambitious title promises. Her one glaring omission is that she does not include the party planner's fee - our guess is that she'd be worth it. We highly recommend this well-organized, very practical book to all event planners. Don't send out press releases for your party without consulting Judy Allen.
Great book.......2005-10-01
This is a great book for anyone interested in working in the event planning field.
Book Description
Wait Till Next Yearis the story of a young girl growing up in the suburbs of New York in the 1950s, when owning a single-family home on a tree-lined street meant the realization of dreams, when everyone knew everyone else on the block, and the children gathered in the streets to play from sunup to sundown. The neighborhood was equally divided among Dodger, Giant, and Yankee fans, and the corner stores were the scenes of fierce and affectionate rivalries.
We meet the people who influenced Goodwin's early life: her father, who emerged from a traumatic childhood without a trace of self-pity or rancor and who taught his daughter early on that she should say whatever she thought and should bring her voice into any conversation at any time; her mother, whose heart problems left her with the arteries of a seventy-year-old when she was only in her thirties and whose love of books allowed her to break the boundaries of the narrow world to which she was confined by her chronic illness; her two older sisters; her friends on the block; the local storekeepers; her school friends and teachers.
This is also the story of a girlhood in which the great religious festivals of the Catholic church and the seasonal imperatives of baseball combined to produce a passionate love of history, ceremony, and ritual. It is the story of growing up in what seemed on the surface a more innocent era until one recalls the terror of polio, the paranoia of McCarthyism reflected even in the children's games, the obsession with A-bomb drills in school, and the ugly face of racial prejudice. It was a time whose relative tranquillity contained the seeds of the turbulent decade of the sixties.

Wait till Next Year.......2007-07-13
Most interesting for me since I am a "wait till next year" Red Sox fan. She's an excellent writer and commentator and this lives up to her standard.
Really Good Read!.......2007-06-27
Ms. Goodwin knows how to tell a good story. In addition to telling us about her childhood in a New York City suburb in the 1950s, she also talks about the changes America was going through in this time period: economic development and the impact on the family, the beginnings of the civil rights movement, the "end" of baseball as the American pasttime. The book is well-written and very enjoyable.
A great book on taking your daughter to the game!.......2007-04-27
Great book. It inspires me to take my two little girls to games. I thoroughly enjoyed it.
A Fan's Notes.......2007-04-10
Goodwin grew up in New York in the 40's, and this memoir tracks her Brooklyn Dodgers through their World Series win in 1956.
Something to Touch the Heart.......2007-03-27
So many people recommended Doris Kearns Goodwin's charming memoir, "Wait Till Next Year," that I couldn't wait to get my hands on it.
Experiencing her youth in the forties and fifties as I and many of my reading friends did, Goodwin struck chords that reverberated movingly with us. Though the story takes place in Rockville Centre, New York, a suburb just a train ride away from Brooklyn, her pictures of herself and her friends in front yards and back yards, her schools and churches, drug store and neighborhood could have been taken in any American suburb of those distant days.
These memories make up a different kind of "fan's notes," as she tracks the ups and downs and near misses of her beloved Brooklyn Dodgers, the team she followed faithfully as a six-year-old in 1949, until "dem bums" finally delivered a World Series championship in 1956. Her team, with Gil Hodges and Roy Campanella, and even their radio announcer, Vin Scully, moved to Los Angeles in 1958 and became my wife's favorite team. My "Whiz Kids," the Philadelphia Phillies of the fifties, with Robin Roberts and Ritchie Ashburn and Eddie Waitkus received mention and reminded my wife and me of the days when you could count on the same players returning loyally to play year after year for the same team.
In addition to the thread of baseball running through the book, Goodwin touches on national events that characterized the times for anyone who lived through them: the death of FDR, the Korean War, the Rosenberg spy case, McCarthyism, and forced school integration in Little Rock. She remembers Elvis and James Dean and covers faithfully the rituals of growing up in the Catholic Church. There is something here to touch the heart of anyone who grew up in those naive times of the 1940s and 1950s.

The Spanish American War is the definitive pictorial record of the war that brought the United States onto the world's stage and into the twentieth century.

Mr.Gurudas has created a very informative decription of the corruption of america.Bush is not impeached because the coporate state, big and small business do not have to pay tax,or be regulated. This includes anyone who benefits from the selling of america. The supreme court, senate, congress are corrupt and bought by industrialist and commercialist.Big and small contractors less not forget.Free Trade circumvents the laws of the U.S. and the constitution. The senate and congress let this happen.CAFTA fast tract vote.Dubai 6 ports, sell oil company to china, sell technology to china that can be used by military. The coporate state and our representatives are in violation of the constitution they are commmitting treason, violating the security of U.S.Illegal immigration, violation privacy act,and allowing coporate to get around the constitution, also not following constitutional law for the congress resulting in subverting the U.S.for Greed and corruption, blackmail, etc. The war we are in is illegal because there were no weapons of mass destruction. The war is for Isarel,U.S.,England,for security profit and control of oil.Coporates benefit at expense of the people, senate and congress support the coporate state which buys them. This is update since Mr.Gurudus wrote this book. The book title Treason The New World Order is appropriate and the references are available for research 833 foot notes. The statements in this book are true. The coporate state is a thing of the past, but does not know it.They will not succeed in the NWO.Federal Reserve is in violation of constitution,we would not have deficit if the government was in control. We would not be paying interest. The bank of england is a city unto itself. It rules. We have a constitution. Why did they let the feb be private,so
they could ripe us off the elite and rich.it works for them.Thats why.People are affraid to say anything.Power corrupts. The governments need to take back their banks.International bankers need to stay with their merchant banker friend.International bankers are the controlers of the world. They control by shares and front men puppets.
Mr.Gurudas uses term multiculturelism, which means immigration legal, elegal. He states that this is used to destroy our culture. One of the means to overthrow the constitution for the new world order.Education another The U.S. is amoung the lowest in the west in science and math.Student today do not know their history. They do not know who they are.Civis, physical education, english, being proud to be an american are not encourage especially if you are western european.Mexicans say they are taking back southwest. We have foreigners from all over the world telling us what we can do in our country, and the U.S.government supports them, they have more rights than a U.S. citizen.Welfare benefits, school, elegallly working.Protected by police. The tax payer pays. You have company unions, jewish organization, protestant, catholics, bishops, and others crying let them come in even if it cost your job, security, culture, and bankrupts the states. We should be ashame to be western european.
The banana republic are the fault of the coporatesThe coporation exploit these countries so they come to U.S. to work. These people who come here gererate 25 to 35 percent of revenue for their country. You the tax payer subsidize the elegals country, and support them when they need help here.Look at outsourcing by U.S. to boarder towns. At last count there was only 10 million industrial jobs left in U.S.El salvador contra were given green cards and now are worst gangs in LA.Compliments of U.S. governmentThis is the way you destroy the european culture in U.S. and western europe.Immigration.
Back to education.we have to go back to prior 1963.If a person does not have the ability to learn there is no point in keeping them in school. They need to go to tect school or to work. This can be done in government programs age 14 8 years of school. They can work in programs to help the country until 18 yrs.50 percent probably do not have ability to finisn high school.Allowing people to be in school that cannot perform is crazy and a disruption to those who have ability.Everyone has the right to opportunity, and to be treated fair, but, you are born with your IQ,and it will influence your life greatly. This does not mean you have to do demeaning jobs. All should do what they do best. The military uses IQ test, and the have been proved to be a good gage of ability, there are always exceptions, you can retest at a specified later date.
Multiculturelism is not working, and everyone knows it,but greed pravails.Third world people need the world bank and IMF to help them at home. The coporates have to be regulated. We support dictators all over the world.Shell oil in Africa now with uprising of people that shell totally exploited, gave the country nothing.Slave labor.General Butler in thirties stated that the coporates are criminal. It is worst now. Those university grants, and rich families,no wonder the educated are worthless.Brainwash and stupid like the rest of us.They have the knowledge to change the government.Batra The great Depression 1990.Gives method to control the coporations.Alternatve energy,a just distribution of the wealth.Take care of the environment.Did someone say I love those excessive profits to much, let them eat cake. That is what the King and Queen of France said, the aristocracy took a fall too.You know last man standing, with elite every body can go down.
Westpoint Mr.Gurudas hopes you will help us you are suppose to uphold the constitution. The other military schools as well, you are not stupid, you are well educated now.Of course the elites buy those with potential. It could be necessary to kill your family, and friends.Mr.Gurudas says government people a military installations were tested and ask if they would fight for UN ,and do what they were order to do.No UN forces should be in america that have authority over our own military,or for any other reason. The UN will be the international army, and you will do its bidding. Are you getting alot of floride in your drinking water.Marine base San Diego,NOV,DEC 2005 had dangerous amount of lead or some poison in their water,Maybe it help the jarheads.WE need a draft for brotherhood.Let everybody do two years no university exceptions.

boycott,have marches,report elegals,form unions,voteout those who support immigration,Free Trade,out sourcing,importing,and selling the U.S.
HR4437 stop immigration and take back america. The coporate say they have to have slave labor, the upper classes need them to,baby sitter, maid in the garden.Do not feel sorry for anyone. The coporate will hurt if it can.It is infantile. It needs to go to the wood shed for a talking to.The gang of four B,C,R,L should be in jail and Blare, straw,Isarel has to stop being on land that is not theirs.Fox guards hen house, bring in U.N. troops .A terroist is a terroist.Stop spying on U.S. Start paying back all that money you owe U.S.POllard,USS liberty.Who is a racist, anti,Dubai.we are racist because we do not want 6 ports.Veto.
Brainwashing police tactics coporate games,NWO end. There are people that imply that we are quilty even if not born.A nation is quilty for what the government of their country brainwashed them to do.These people use this tactic to stop any criticism. There are laws to stop people from talking about the subject. These people commit acts every day that are criminal, yet it is okay. The UN said they were racist they had it remove with help of U.S.What do you see on TV,they say stop the terroist, which ones, which side.No you are not responsible for the past crimes of your country,if that were so we would all be in jail.Human nature is bad, pain is the normal state, pleasure is abnormal, happeness is very temporary.Hobbs said we are liberated in the second we acknowledge our wrong, and are sorry.Hume said character is fixed, and to change it would cause damage, and when you were not on guard, the old self would return, mans nature is one.We are of the same making.Do not expect other wise.WE know that if Hitler was in charge we would do what he said,he would be the authotity.Cornel University,or other proved that people will on a percentage do what authority says. Also they will kill you if you do not do what they want.Would you say kill me,or would you comply.Do you want to go to Russian Front,or be hanged.

Restoring Constitutional government.Democratic socialism is solution. The government has to have power over the coporation, they must be regulated. The people have the right to full empoyment with a decent living wage.Free medical.Government
car insurance, and pensions. The reason why you do not have this now is your stupid. The profits of the coporates and business you would not believe. It an employer cannot pay decent wage he should not be in business.Did you not know that France the work 35 hrs maybe 6 weeks vacation,Germany very good benefits.England and U.S are worst for social benefits, and england has socialize medicalEngland the want them to work long hours.Has anyone wanted to know why germany is doing okay now,but was in a depression. The vote no for EU did the bankers and coporates depress the economy until the no vote. They will do anything. They want slave labor. The elite care nothing for the people,we should treat them in kind. The governments have the money,or they can get it start taxing the coprations and make the rich pay there fair share.Stop free trade, immigration. The coporates will fight, but we will win,if they violate the laws they can go to jail, they can get out of the country and stay out.International Bankers these are not the people we want in our government.
Mr.Guruas talks about the CIA,FBI,NSA,ets These are the police for the elite,Police work for business interest all over the world and do the dirty work. There are no limits.morality does not exist. There is no compassion, explotation is the game. What mr.Gurudas says about them is sufficient, the real world.
Mr.Gurudus would tell you hr4437,stop immigration,no free trade.No compromise,SAVE AMERICA,VOTE THEM OUT
Awesome book.......2006-01-05
This book covers pretty much everything in a well documented fashion. If you only read one book on the new world order, this should be it. The author doesn't just spout out claims and expect the reader to believe him, he backs them up with reliable footnotes that you yourself can use to corroborate his info. This is a far cry from books from people like David Icke, who while he writes interesting books, I just can't take him seriously. This book goes into the Oklahoma city bombing, Ruby Ridge, Waco, the militia movement, CFR, bilderburgers, etc... This is a book written by a serious, entirely sane NWO researcher. If you're looking for UFOs and reptilians, look elsewhere. It's a shame he is no longer alive to write more.
Get this one because you'll never get to read his last book.......2004-01-23
Gurudas died under very suspicious circumstances when he had a followup book for this just about finished on his computer (but not yet sent to the printers -- that is, on his computer and with no copies elsewhere). His computer disappeared at the time of his body being found and magically reappeared a few days later -- with all of his second book erased from it. I knew him, and personally I feel he has gone the way of Tesla. Only into obscurity if people don't read at least what he did get out. Surely what is in this book is what some very dangerous people don't want you to know.
I just noticed that the only copy available to order here right now someone is asking over $200 for this book, which can be purchased for $14.95 + shipping at Cassandra Press, which you can find easily by Googling simply "Cassandra Press." The order link on their website is not working sometimes, but if you click on their contact link you will find their phone number and there is also a link to contact them through email.
Excellent book full of references by a meticulous author. Recommended!
