Calculations are only as good as your numbers.......2007-08-03

Yes, we can all agree that mainstream history is nearly 100% BS due to politics, economics, ego, problems with dating techniques, and various conspiracies. Agreed. But, I've been researching the distinct possibility that human history (in terms of civilizations) are much more ancient than we've been told, so coming across this book was very interesting to me. I wondered how Fomenko could be wrong (if at all) because he is very persuasive in his presentations. Then it dawned on me. If at previous times in prehistory, due to the various catastrophies that are well documented (comets, asteroids, planetary disruptions, plasma discharge, pole reversals, etc) the Earth was in a different position in relation to the sun, different tilt on its axis, different orbit, different rotation (in terms of velocity and DIRECTION), and the continents were in different positions, then would this not cause the ancients to see the sky (constellations) differently? In other words, is Fomenko making erronious assumptions about the physics of the Earth in pre-history, which then corrupt his data with regards to dating the relevant astrology? The last event to seriously disrupt our planet occured roughly 3500 years ago, according to other good researchers, so is it possible Fomenko has been confused by this? The vastly different physics of our planet in the not so distant past may explain this confusion, which is not to say the "mainstream" version of history is correct; on the contrary. I am not an expert in these fields, but wanted to see if this idea could spark discussion.

Will people ever read before spamming? Yes, Jesuits could not rewrite world history alone, they had help. Anyway, Dr Prof Acad A.Fomenko does not point to jesuits as the driving force of world wide history manipulation in published volumes 1,2,3;, actually he barely mentions the poor devils. Check it with 'Search inside' feature, please. China is rarely mentioned either, in fact, Dr Fomenko is completely eurocentric. Right, his theory contradicts all mainstream schools of history, because in their actual state they are all built on blatantly erroneus chronology. You don't need a mysterious cabal (conspiracy) to falsify history, the falsification is its modus operandi. It is inherent to history(ians) to falsify (distort) events, as it is inherent to humans to boast as it is inherent to power (authority) to legimize itself by referrring to glorious past made to its own order. Dr Prof Fomenko and team have identified scores of instances of such manipulation in Russian, European, etc.. history, and delivered valid statistical proof thereof. His own 'reconstruction' is completely another story. Forget c14 as a valid method of dating. W.Libby has initially discovered a brilliant method of INDEPENDENT dating. Too bad, c14 method has become a joke after a forced marrige with dendrochronology with consensual chronological scale inbuilt. Radiocarbon method can't stand blind tests, but is so very productive as a rubberstamp.

Accepted History & Chronology Must Be Changed. .......2007-04-09

There is no doubt that history as most know it is a sham, & institution's version of History both University & Church is fradulent & inaccurate. Everything was established with an agenda, The real "Dark Ages" are now when we have access to incredible amounts of information past authorities & more important 'common folk' didn't have but our institutions & educators are slow to evolve because of what has ignorantly & arrogantly been taught for too long. This is on many subjects not just Chronology.

For anyone to question "Why would a Mathematician have anything credible to say of History?" The answer is from Dr. Fomenko's preface in the book: "It would be worthwhile to remind the reader that in the XVI-XVII century Chronology was considered to be a subdivision of Mathematics." These volumes could possibly be some of the most important works to date & should be read by everyone with an interest in History, especially professors & educators who have a duty to the public. I have read both books & must say that 'Chronology 1' has some very eye opening & revolutionary information. Even if these volumes are part true the implications are profound & opens the doors to further investigations & questions which must be done. I speak several different lanquages & must say the logic Dr. Fomenko uses with "inflection" of words & words being read from left to right in one region & right to left in another then written backwards, the removal of vowels & get down to basics of words, or different cities & locations having the same name etc. is correct. Vowel usage has always been optional & varied, actually complicating linquistics & study. The first thing one has to understand is that words never had a fixed spelling in history like we do now, the spelling of words was mutable & regional, as well as names & titles of people were vast, varied & changed, NOTHING WAS FIXED or understood linear. Matters of Life & Death as well as financial profiteering yesterday & today were & are made with ignorant, illogical & conspiratorial views of history & reality, it's time people get closer to the Truth & society collectively grow up.

History as Science Fiction.......2007-01-10

Anatoly Fomenko has written a very intriguing book, full of pictures, charts, and computer 'proof' of his thesis: backwards of AD900 we don't really know what happened or when. Between AD900 and AD1600 there is more certainty, but there is still a lot of fuzzy ground, and things don't get reliable until we get past the 1600's where the printing press made it very difficult for the perpetrators of this timeline manipulation to change anything that had been committed to print. The Dark Ages did not happen. Books were burned for a reason. One organization has doubled the actual length of its existence by expanding the real chronology. Read why.

I had always wondered why Christ died about AD33 and yet men waited until the 11th century to form the Knights Templar, the Cathars, etc and go after the Holy Land by force. Why the 1000 year gap? Turns out there wasn't more than a 10-12 year gap and he proves it using astronomy. This also implies that the planet is not as old as we have been told, and current Christian and other creationist scientists are already championing that idea without being aware of Fomenko's book. The two groups, creationist scientists and the Russian mathematical analysts corroborate each other. Fascinating.

Of course, all this flies in the face of what we have been told traditionally is the 'proper' chronology of western civilization, and most readers will experience 'cognitive dissonance' in reading this book. It means that our history going backwards from AD1600 becomes progressively more incorrect and unreliable until it cannot be trusted at all... in the space of 700-800 years.

Naturally, the curious, open-minded reader will want to know WHO did this, WHY, and did any of the events we think of as really ancient ever happen?
Dr. Fomenko is a respected scientist/mathematician at Moscow State University who has already answered these questions to the satisfaction of his initially skeptical colleagues. Most of them are now believers, a few still refuse to believe (the usual diehards), and of course the western press has ignored Fomenko's work -- for obvious reasons when you read the book. The ones who perpetrated this chronology ruse have a lot to answer for. They are still with us. That's why this book is a well-kept secret.

I gave the book a 4-star rating because I was unable to check out some of his claims; those I checked were as he said. But if even 1/3 of his claims are true, this punches a big hole in what we think is our history, the meaning of western civilization, our educational process (for repeating the ruse as gospel), and the trustworthiness of the organization that perpetrated this ruse, well-intentioned or not.

This book relates to current research into a Young Earth paradigm, to John Keel's discoveries about our planet, and Fr Malachi Martin's insights (in his now out-of-print books). We are indeed sheep who are manipulated and kept ignorant -- for a reason. While knowing what these men have to say may be the "booby prize" (as in: 'what can you do with this knowledge?'), it will provide interesting reading. Didn't someone say: "...and the Truth will set you free."?? For you to judge if this book contains the truth.

Comprehensive Pictorial Guide.......2006-01-25

I'm not certain why the "Samurai" bug bites readers but in my case I lived outside Yokohama, Japan, on the Kanto Plain for 25 months between October, 1962, and December, 1964. (Please see also my review of Oliver Statler's early 1960's book, "Japanese Inn" for additional detail of this area).

Living only a stone's throw from the ancient Tokaido Road, once capital city Kamakura, and medieval Odawara castle, among many other sites, caused me to this very day to have an avocational interest for Japan in general and the Samurai in specific.

I have several of Stephen Turnbull's books, feeling him to be very well versed in all aspects of this field to the point of being a notable expert in that area. The term "expert" is bandied about these days oft times without substance or merit, but in Mr. Turnbull's case it is well justified.

This particular book is one I purchased a year ago, and for the price was very pleased with its content. Should one look into it a reader would find it a good, comprehensive guide to the Japanese warriors known as 'samurai'. There are specific armor and weaponry illustrations and descriptions, as well as four "see-through vellum sections" where each layer of clothing and protective armour offers insight into the dress of these warriors. The text flows evenly and can readily be understood. Should the reader be new to this area of study this volume would easily serve as a great introductory volume.

This oversize book is amply illustrated in color, and in 256 pages offers magnificently "the story of Japan's great warriors".

expensive bummer.......2007-08-07

This is a decent survey of ancient warfare. I was very dissappointed due to so many important battles which are missing from the book.

The graphics and maps are POOR quality. For the cost, there should be some color, it should all be printed on higher quality paper, and what is black and white should be of much higher quality.

I found the presentation cumbersome, this is written for upper eschelon military leaders. I spent a long time in the military, I found this to have the feel of arrogant field grade officers' typical approach to report writing, over the academic format I expected.

A lot of important information is lost in translation, and the effort does not feel as though the subjects of the battles which are addressed are appropriately researched or presented.

Some Initial Thoughts.......2005-07-12

I received this 3-volume set a few days ago, and have not read it all, roughly about one-fourth of it. It is the kind of reading one can dip into at just about any point, and I have read those sections that I was particularly interested in: the near eastern ancient world up to the Alexander, and the empire of Attila. I wish Amazon had the table of contents posted, as that reflects the structure of the books; essentially, that the author uses important battles as his climaxes, with material on strategy, tactics, logistics, etc leading up to the battle descriptions, which are then followed by a discussion of the commanders involved in the battle.

Importantly, the books cover "empires" and not "kingdoms", except as brief background. So Assyria is not covered directly until it becomes an "empire" in the late 8th century BCE, and Byzantium until its fall seems not to be covered directly at all. Roman history essentially begins with Hannibal's invasion, at which point the author apparently deems Rome has become an empire. Though many battles of the Roman Civil Wars of Caesar and Augustus are covered, the Roman Empire itself is covered rather briefly, with Teutoburger Wald and Adrianople being the only battles discussed in detail for the first four centuries CE. (The author uses the BCE, CE dating notation.) Then Chalons is covered in the section on the Huns.

The discussion of Chalons raises some questions I have about the books. The author gives a detailed blow-by-blow account of the battle, whereas several other scholarly books on the subject state that not enough is known about the battle to permit a reconstruction. Since the author gives nary a footnote stating his rationales anywhere in the three volumes, and does not discuss his reasoning in the text itself, it is impossible to tell whether the author's account of Chalons is based on new research, the author's best guess, or just the author's imagination.

Be that as it may, the text of the book reads very easily; I found myself able to bite off huge chunks of it in rather brief sittings. There are also adequate maps and illustrations, but no index. I did note during the discussion of Gaugamela that the author apparently became confused between the left and right wing of the Persian army, and in the discussion of early Egypt he implied that Palestine is to the west of Egypt. So the books must be read with a bit of care, and in fact do not provide a complete military history from 4000 BCE to 1453 CE, but rather detailed snippets of particular times, which, of course, is just what the author intended.

This is the second-best way to expose yourself to the particular genius of Frank Zappa (music is the best, after all)--through his own words. In addition to being an idiosyncratic American composer of some degree of controversy, Zappa was an orator of no small ability or scope. He was known for his ability to expound at great length (and to hilarious effect) on any number of topics. The Real Frank Zappa Book faithfully captures this side of its author, composed of essays on everything from his background and upbringing, to politics, capitalism, and raising children. Zappa takes the opportunity to dispel some of the most pervasive rumors that surrounded him right up to (and even persist after) his death in 1993 (no he didn't do drugs, or sleep with all those groupies). If you're familiar with the man, you will be able to hear his distinctive enunciations (aided by the bold-facing of certain words and Zappaisms) as you read the assorted road stories, his views on making music for a living, and scenes from two--count them, two--organized hearings on obscenity in music. Of course, the chapter titles speak for themselves and include such Zappa winners as "All About Schmucks," "Marriage (As a Dada Concept)," and "America Drinks and Goes Marching."

It has everything every zappa fan wants to know about this amazing man, it is true that sometimes the book tends to get too political but I am sure some people will apreciate the fact that they can even get to know how would Zappa would've been if he got elected to be president XD.
It shows us the musiscian, political, personal, and overall personality of this great character.

If you like Zappa's music and humor, I HIGHLY recommend reading his autobiography "The Real Frank Zappa Book". You'll get the real story behind all the ridiculous urban legends you heard about this man.

I guarantee you will be laughing your backside off before page 3. I recall the first time I picked this up on a display at a Walden's books. I randomly turned to a page and started to read. It was all about how to deal with militant Islamic jihadiis. I was laughing so hard I was doubled over, convulsing and had tears in my eyes. The store clerks probably thought I was having a stroke.

Zappa is lovably irreverant from page one all the way to the end. There's lots of interesting pictures including a 3 year-old Zappa in shorts with a cap gun. By the time I finished this book I found myself wondering how someone so incredibly brilliant could also be so stupid and ignorant with respect to basic nutrition and health.

The man of many faces.......2006-03-04

Learning all the history Frank Zappa and the Mothers went through was outstanding. The last chapter got a little preachy, but I never stopped laughing throughout the entire book. I'd think anyone that wants to know not only the "how" it was done, but some of the experiences along the way, are priceless to hear about.

Frank Zappa Invented Music Downloading.......2006-03-03

In this illuminating book, Frank Zappa shares his life, advice on child-rearing, tour stories, etc.

However, the most amazing revelation is contained in the chapter entitled, "Failures". In this chapter, Zappa details various ideas that he had proposed to venture capital companies. The most astounding of these is the idea to digitize music, and have it available to be transferred via high-speed phone lines to the consumer. Keep in mind that this book was written in 1988, and he explains that this proposal was prepared in 1982, before the invention and widespread popularity of the Compact Disc! He knew, twenty years before the fact, that purchasing music at a store, on media was an outdated process.

Regardless of how you feel about Zappa's music, this shows his absolute genius. He foresaw digital music, the transfer of digital music, the use of telephone lines to transmit this music.

Brilliant

The Real, but Out-Dated, Frank Zappa.......2005-10-26

This book is a very interesting read, from the political cartoons that begin each chapter, to the doodlings in the margins. The book starts off with a basic history of the man himself, and progresses on into anecdotes from the road and assorted rather hilarious stories from Zappa's life. Being Frank Zappa this makes for an incredibly ridiculous, and almost fantastical series of chapters. the books previous momentum tails off toward the last third of the book as Zappa launches into numerous tirades about the Reagan administration and Cold War, which are by now terribly outdated. However, buried in this criticism is an entertaining account of the proceedings of the Senate hearings involving the Parent's Music Research Center. Overall this is a good read, although flawed, but even Zappa's beration of Reagan translates to the present, and it is easy to think of what Zappa considers of today's society.

The successor to the Chieftain from the 1960's, work began in 1976 on development of a new MBT specifically for the Iranian army, who needed a more capable tank than the Chieftain to suit their climatic and geographical conditions. However, once the revolution occurred in 1979 the British army was reluctantly forced to accept this new design themselves. Once in service there were technical problems resulting in various modifications. However, the Challenger would go on to great success in the Gulf War, playing crucial roles in both Desert Storm and Desert Sabre operations. In this book, Simon Dunstan examines this tank in detail, evaluating its performance both on the test range and in the field of battle.

OK stuff.......2001-09-07

I enjoyed the history of the Challenger tank and the author's frankness about its shorcomings (you do have to read between the lines, though, afterall, the author is British). These New Vanguard books are a compromise between larger, more detailed histories and photo books aimed at modlers. As with many compromises, not all will be satisfied. Its a good buy, what soured me was the interior cutaway lacked complete detail & is hard to see some of the drawing due to the way the drawing is cut out on the centerfold page. The older Vanguard series avoided this by having the interior drawings (and more of them) on one page.

Challenger Tank, from a modeler's perspective.......2000-10-09

The book in the Vanguard Series about the Challenger Main Battle Tank offers a good introduction about the development of the tank and its configurations. This is about as far the book goes. For a modeler who is looking for more close-up details and always hungry for a lot of color photographs in all prespectives possible, the book falls short of expectations. Modelers would be more rewarded from specialty publications like Concord Publications, Squadron "walk- around" series or the excellent publications from Verlinden.

Seeds of Fire quotes the attorney thus: "There is nothing in Pollard's conviction to suggest that he had compromised the nation's intelligence-gathering capabilities or betrayed worldwide intelligence data." Backed by such powerful sources, Israel has now begun a new campaign to persuade the Bush Administration to set Pollard free. But CIA Director, George Tenet, as Seeds of Fire reveals, is leading the opposition to such a move. Tenet is not the only one who has joined in the battle over Pollard's future. Four retired US admirals, one who had served as a director of US Naval Intelligence, have circulated a paper within the Washington intelligence community that bluntly states Pollard's release would not only be "irresponsible to the highest degree, but also a victory for the clever public relations campaign waged for the worst traitor this country has had." So far such trenchant views have remained within the intelligence community, but a number of senior members of the CIA, FBI and other agencies who were involved in assessing the damage Pollard did, have begun to say they will go public on what they know the extent of that damage to be. Though reluctant to be named "for the moment," one FBI agent told Gordon Thomas: "Pollard stole every worthwhile intelligence secret we had. We are still trying to recover from what he did. We have had to withdraw dozens of agents in place in the former Soviet Union, in the Middle East, South Africa and friendly nations like Britain, France and Germany. The American public just don't know the full extent of what he did." Ironically, Pollard in his youth had made no secret of his support for Israel. The youngest son of an award-winning microbiologist, his family and friends have described as his near obsession with "the power of Mossad." At Stanford University he said he was "waiting for the day when Israel will call upon me." Nobody took him seriously; many thought he was a fantasist. For that reason the CIA rejected his job application, dismissing him as a "blabbermouth." But the agency also saw that he had an extraordinary gift as an analyst. This talent allowed Naval Intelligence to overlook his other faults. His former chief, David Muller, admitted that "despite his stories about his visits to Israel when he claimed to have met with Mossad, he was a genius when it came to breaking down complex data. He was a one-off in every sense of the word. With hindsight we all should have listened to the alarm bells ringing. Pollard had a drug habit. He had huge debts. He lived well above his salary. In every sense he was a prime target for a foreign intelligence service to recruit." No other US spy in modern intelligence has generated such controversy as Jonathan Pollard. Now forty-seven years of age and incarcerated in a maximum security jail supposedly for the rest of his life, no one publicly still knows the full extent of the damage he did after he was recruited in November 1984 to spy for Israel. The man who did the recruiting was Rafi Eitan, Mossad's legendary spymaster who captured Adolf Eichmann. Pollard was to be an even greater triumph for Eitan and Israel. Eitan is one of the few who knows the full extent of the top-secret materials Pollard passed over. But within the Israeli intelligence community it is accepted that Pollard also provided a clear picture of U.S. intelligence gathering methods in the Middle East. For over eleven months Pollard had raped US intelligence. His trial was told "over 360 cubic of paper was transmitted to Israel." Yitzhak Shamir, then Israeli's prime minister, had personally approved the recruiting of Pollard. Pollard was arrested on November 21, 1986, outside the Israeli embassy in Washington. He elected to plea-bargain rather than face a full trial. The US government agreed with alacrity: no state secrets would have to be revealed, especially about the extent of Israeli espionage. After the plea bargain, the Justice Department supplied the court with a sworn declaration signed by Caspar W. Weinberger, the Secretary of Defence, which detailed by categories some of the intelligence systems that had been compromised. In prison Pollard divorced his first wife Anne (who had been sentenced to five years imprisonment for being his accomplice), and converted to Orthodox Judaism. In 1994 he married, in prison, a Toronto schoolteacher named Elaine Zeitz. Esther Pollard, as she was from then on known, became the spearhead of the campaign to have her husband freed. Now she has been enjoined by Benyamin Netanyahu. "Much of what he knows is still in his head. And some of what he stole is still in use by us," "Seeds of Fire" reveals. "The reasons the key was thrown away to his cell is because until he died he would be useful to Israel. They would just have to show him something and he would know how to extrapolate from it. A man like that doesn't lose his touch because he is locked away." Yet the lobbyists are now arguing that Pollard has to be seen within the context of the 'big picture' in the Middle East," says Gordon Thomas. A former FBI officer who had been involved in tracking Pollard told the author he would have no objection to a deal over Pollard "providing Israel listed everything Pollard had stolen and what they have done with the materials in terms of all their friends in Beijing". He conceded that such a hope was forlorn. Far more realistic he thought, was that one day soon Jonathan Pollard might yet get to use the Israeli passport that spymaster Rafi Eitan had provided him. Certainly the old spymaster is more than ready to welcome Pollard to Israel. "It would be really nice to see Jonathan again and discuss old times," Eitan has told Gordon Thomas.

A book that exposes the betrayal of Israel against America........2004-02-13

This book explores the case of Johnaton Pollard, an evil man who spied on behalf of our supposed ally Israel...against the United States. It tals about how Pollard stole vital US. Secrets and then attempted to undermine the brave members of the US intelligence community. The fact that incompetent Israeli leaders such as Benjamin Netanyahu, and former Mossad chief Rafi Eitan support this man is a travesty, and proves they are traitors who are NO friends of America. According to the book Netanyahu even tried to blackmail Bill Clinton to get Pollard out of prison. But America has made clear that Pollard will rot in Jail for the rest of his life as well he should.

I read this book in the store and, though attracted by the radical premise, finally decided not to buy it. The reasons are two: firstly, Thomas seems to have had much first-hand and second-hand insight into the Tiananmen tragedy, but I seriously doubt that he understands Chinese culture and society enough to understand the origins and consequences of the event. For example, a Chinese doctor who plays a major role in Thomas' Tiananmen narrative obviously has his first name mistaken for his family name, and his daughter is then given her father's name as her family name. If Thomas had really known and interviewed these people personally (as he claims), one suspects he would not have made such a blunder.

Secondly, as many reviewers have pointed out, Thomas' book mainly consists of accounts of the Chinese army's violent actions in Tibet and at Tiananmen - accounts sure to fire the emotions of American readers and obscure the fact that Thomas' book was actually supposed to prove that China diabolically instigated Al-Qaeda to destroy the World Trade Centre. Thomas does not in any way succeed in this latter aim, since he hardly devotes any space to the supposed evidence. Yet this conspiracy theory remain the book's stated selling point. I find this unscrupulous and dishonest in the extreme.

The reason this book has received numerous rave reviews is because lots of right-wingers and conspiracy theorists in this country WANT to hear such things about China. It gives such moral clarity to their world to have a clear foe again. Perhaps Al-Qaeda is still too secretive, its resources too limited, to fill that role. But China does not hate America. What the Chinese resent is being demonised by Americans one day and despised the next. If you want to change China, the first thing you can start to do is see its people as human beings, like Chinese everywhere else. Today's China is no longer the China of Tiananmen. What it will become depends on how it sees its place in the world. And no American is going to help that by refusing to buy "Made In China" products (as if that were possible). All that will ensure is that millions of Chinese factory workers will never get to own the products that they made with their own hands.

Not exactly about an attack on America.......2002-12-07

Don't let the three stars fool you, as Seeds of Fire is, I believe, essential reading for those who are interested in the consequences of reform in hostile nations. It's also key to understanding the brutality of some nations, in particular those that practice communism, in their pursuit to quell the masses. Nobody can be certain that their rights (in this case the student's constitutional right to demonstrate as per the Chinese constitution) will forever be secure; no matter where they live.

However, the deduction of two stars was for the following reasons. First, this book is NOT a compilation of reasons why some believe that China will go to war against the US by 2015. That is the premise under which the book is promoted, but it simply isn't true. Not only does the author not provide a modicum of reasoning as to why China would even want to do this, but he tries to demonize China by pointing to its domestic policy in the handling of the student uprising to claim that it is indicative of potential conflict in the realm of foreign policy. Clearly, how a nation handles the affairs of it's own people is going to differ from how a nation handles the affairs of citizens from other countries. Basically, if you are looking for a book which discusses the threats of China on the US in the possibly near future, you had better look elsewhere.

Next, the book is a little disjointed. It can basically be broken into three parts:
1) The sale of enhanced PROMIS to foreign countries by Mossad agents to steal national secrets.
2) The Student uprising of 1989 in Tiananmen Square and the resulting massacre
3) A Pentagon report on the status of many nations (not just China) dealing with their potential threats to the US.
Unless the author had some highly sophisticated and transcendental writing style which I simply could not comprehend, the three sections, in my opinion, are loosely joined.

There were some aspects about the Tiananmen massacre which were left out that I feel would be of interest to the reader. One example is that many of the leaders, such as Wang Dan and Wuer Kaixi, profited by all the publicity by becoming successful businessmen.

Overall, the story is captivating, but I wonder how much of it really happened and how much is the author filling in holes that resulted in interviewing many different people who each had their own, and sometimes conflicting, history of the events leading up to the Tiananmen massacre.

not what I expected.......2002-09-26

Read the back of the book first and then start from the beginning! Seeds of Fire has nothing of what it promises to the reader. I was thoroughly dissappointed and am sorry I was taken in by the title. Seeds of Fire took me six months to get through because it was not at all about China and the Attack on America, it was about Tiananmen Square! I give this book a YAWN! Tianamen Square is an interesting subject yet I did not bargain for it. Don't buy it unless you want to know about the assault on China's citizens by it own communist government. VERY SAD!

Too Bad there was no 0 Star Option.......2002-07-29

This man is a crank!! Thomas would have been hard pressed to write a worse book than the one he did on the Mossad but this dog easily surpasses his earlier work in bad writing, terrible research and altogether inanity. Once again Thomas spins fantastic tales that are impossible to prove. I mean please, the CIA using a gyroscope to induce mental illness, who would believe such nonsense, except maybe Thomas. Then the part about the Chinese teaching the Israelis to make bio-weapons, I mean hello, I think bio-tech in Israel is little more advanced then in China. At best this book is a bad work of fiction, where were the editors? Save your money, this book belongs on the rack alongside the UFO and Bigfoot books; then again that sells those books short. This book is in a class all by itself. REALLY BAD!
