Don't waste your time or your money. This book does not live up to what it claims and is a waste of paper!!!!!

I currently live in Germany and frequently travel to neighboring countries. I bought the book hoping I would learn some of the etiquette rules for these other countries, but was greatly disappointed. The check list style of what is ok and what isn't does not provide enough information and/or can be misinterpreted. Many customs need an explanation to be understood. After reading this book, I felt like I knew no more than I already did.

I had to read this book for school. I opened it and read the jacket. "Oh, come on," I thought, dropping my head to my desk. "I'm going to be so bored."

Then I started reading it. And I started to get into the heads of the characters. The book wasn't very slow-paced and it kept me guessing what was going to happen. It depicted teenage life pretty accurately (although not exactly how it is).

When I finished this book, I was thoroughly entertained. The only reason this book got four stars was because I didn't think the ending was written well enough and had a few loose ends.

I would recommend this book to young adults looking for a quick and enjoyable read.

Who's fault was it? Was it Brendan or Susan? This book is mainly about a whole bunch of kids's that have to go to an after school program. If they don't go to this afterschool program they will get kicked out of Wayne High School. There are six kids in this class. Their names are Amber, Tracee, Brendan, Kale, Susan, and Randy. In this class they will learn to valuate themselves more and to truly accept who they are. I really liked this book because it taught me that if you get together with people you don't know you might make some new friends.

I really enjoyed reading Alt Ed but I thought it was for girls.......2006-04-07

There were to many curse words in the story. It's about a fat girl (Susan) who has a gay friend(Brendon). They both get in trouble and have to go to an after school activity called Alt Ed. In that activity they meet a nice boy(Randy), a cheerleader (Tracie), and a tough girl (Amber). There is a mean boy (Kale) who makes fun of them all. Everytime they meet in meetings they learn new things about each other.

Have you ever wanted to read a book that was sad and exciting at the same time? Well this book really makes you think and see how it is to be not so skinny. Alt Ed also shows you how it is to be in someone elses shoes and to be made fun of by what some one heard or by how you look. This book also helps you understand different peoples sterotypes they say.

BOARING!!!.......2006-04-07

I read this book in my 9th grade english class, The book was not appealing to me at all, There is alot of bad language, and it was wrote from a girls point of veiw. The book was about an overweight girl and a homosexual boy that become freinds and get picked on. Brendan the homosexual, messes up a bullys truck, and is put in a group of people, including the fat girl and the bully, to talk about what they did to be put in the class instead of expelled.
