Profound guide.......2007-08-26

I find this book to be packed with information on the nature of reality. Unlike my experience with many books on spirituality, I find myself returning to this book again and again. The truths that Jesus reveals in modern American English hit home whether he is explaining the nature of the heart, the physics of the universe or the ten commandments. Here is revealed both the deep love of Jesus for all people and an unflinching guide to all of life. All of this is presented free from dogma, free from religiosity, and free from condemnation.

The warmth, love, compassion, wisdom and joy that radiate from this book is, at times, overwhelming! For me, this is a book that one must keep so that it can be referred to time and again, as I simply am not spiritually advanced enough to get most of the information on a first, second and maybe even third pass. I hope to hear Glenda speak some day and I'd love to see her painting up close and personal. Buy the book and cherish it!

Where's the rest of the series?.......2000-06-18

Hey~I read this series in 7th grade, I will now be going into 11th, and I haven't found a new book in the series! Help! I love Cherie Bennet because she tells the truth. Her newspaper column for teens used to be in my local paper, but halfway through the year they discontinued it. I was mad because I liked how she made her point, blunt and to the point. I really wish if anyone had any news on if the series ended or if there are more books that you could tell me. Thanks.

I loved the book Love Without End.It is probably the best book I have ever read.I think it reminds parents that when someone dies that you should pay alot of atention to the kid whose brother or sister died because if you don't then they could start hanging around with the wrong people and might comit suicide.

I loved this book! Nicole learned a lesson on not getting caught up in other things while down on a mission. And Shelby was so sweet, I knew the reason she acted so tough was because she was hurting inside. The end was so touching. I would reccomend this book to everyone

This is a well written book and applicable to all types of relationships. I liked how each relationship characteristic was broken down into bite sized chapters and this author seemed to break open new ground in recognizing the true pitfalls and opportunities to change how marriage relationships could really be healthy and successful. I am not easily taken by all the "help-yourself," "do it yourself and mess things up" books and this is not one of them at all. This book truly lives up to what other reviewers wrote . . . follow what is written in this book and your marriage, all your relationships, for the rest of your life will be more than you could have ever imagined!

Joseph Conrad came to writing after having been a sailor for nearly twenty years. The three long stories in this volume were composed early in his literary career, a few years after a grueling sojourn in the Belgian Congo as the commander of a river steamer. "Youth" (1898) is the first of Conrad's stories to feature Captain Marlow, later the narrator of "Heart of Darkness", Lord Jim, and Chance. "Heart of Darkness" (1899), Marlow's story of his journey into the jungle to find Kurtz, the tormented white trader, becomes a multileveled commentary on colonialism, evil, and the unknown, emblemized in Kurtz's dying words: "The horror! The horror!" The complex moral issues posed by these tales, and by "Typhoon" (1901), a masterpiece about a storm at sea, anticipated many of the concerns of the later twentieth century. Francis Coppola appropriated Marlow and Kurtz for Apocalypse Now, his movie about the Vietnam War.

For me, "Heart of Daekness" is one of the most powerful books I have ever read. Even though it is rather short (about 100 pages), I have read it for quite a long time, since it is a very difficult book to understant. So far, I have read it twice, and I am only now beginning to understand it. It was (and still is) a joy to read it and it changes me forever.
