The best scientific study of how and why pyramids work........2003-01-15
Excellent insight to mangetic form resonance, tensor fields scalar energies and topological electronics. Flanagan is a true genius and his discoveries continue to subtly shape our world. Fifty years from now, this book will be a classic because it describes lesser-known technologies that will hopefully be second nature to future generations. I am a researcher and have had tremendous results because of the impact of this book, and also other researches of Dr. Flanagan.

Book Description
Is he a girl? Is she a boy?
Matthew's American cousin, Sam, has come to London to live with the family. Sam is a charismatic, funny kid, but can he be trusted to be a reliable friend? Matthew and his "mates" decide that Sam must undertake a challenge in order to prove himself: he must start off his new year at their school posing as a girl. It turns out that Sam makes a great girl. He fools everyone and has an electrifying effect at Bradbury Hill School. And the longer the prank goes on, the more hilarious -- and serious -- the repercussions.
This brilliant novel shines a laser-sharp beam into the perilous territory of early-teen life, in an unforgettable story of chaos, confusion, and cross-dressing.

Funny Book.......2006-07-31
Boy 2 Girl was very funny and unusual. It is much better than any of the books I have read before. I just couldn't put the book down. I was on vacation and that's all i did by the pool was read.
This is a really good book.......2006-04-28
This book is really good book. It really has a lot of exciting parts. My favorite part is when they dare him into doing this task and he do it just because he want to be their friend
Overall a good book !!!.......2006-02-07
Overall Boy2Girl is a good book. The subject is really unique, which makes the book even better. Another thing that i thought was good was the format. Instead of just writing it in I or just from one character, he writes form each of the characters. Like he'll start talking as the main character then switch to another. I thought that it was really interesting. But i don't think that it was a great book. I think that it was a fun read, but i would get bored ocassionally. But i would rate it a 4 out of 5.
great.......2005-12-20
this is a great story when i picked the book up i couldn't put it down. it is way better than what all the other kids read in my class. im not going to tell you much because i want you to find out how amazing it is yourself. i don't even read books that much and plus this book is so funny.please be clever 'n'
buy this book or if you dont you have made the biggest mistake ever.
A funny book with a unique point of view.......2005-08-03
Matt is your typical thirteen year-old British boy, whose life is shaken up by the arrival of his American cousin, Sam. Sam's mother has recently died and with his father presumed to be in jail Sam is understandably angry at his life. This anger causes Matt's group of friends, who call themselves the Sheds, to reject Sam. In order to regain their acceptance Sam agrees to a dare of having him dress as a girl for the first week of school so that Sam can spy on a group of girls who are the Shed's enemies. Sam proves to be remarkably successful in his role as a girl. Primarily using humor, Blacker successfully examines gender roles through such situations as Sam receiving a training bra, or teaching the girls how to intimidate a boy by looking at him. Blacker chooses to use multiple narrators, some who only narrate for a paragraph, to further show how the same event can be interpreted in different ways. This style could easily have been a gimmick, but instead works remarkably well in furthering the story and the humor. The book's madcap conclusion, involving Sam's dad who has returned in order to get Sam, and the previously unknown riches left to him, will leave readers smiling, but also thinking more about how boys and girls really act, and how those actions are perceived.

Description:
A procedure of insulating the low melting or softening point metal fibers for preparing disk ultramicroelectrodes (UMEs) is presented that employs low temperature plasma enhanced chemical vapor deposition (PECVD) technique. Specially, the development of Au disk UME is described. The 25@mm diameter Au fibers are concentrically coated by PECVD with an insulating layer of silicon nitride thin film that is performed with lower PECVD electrode temperature of 340+/-10^oC. The silicon nitride thin films are found to be free of microcracks and characterized with excellent adhesion at the silicon nitride thin film-Au interfaces by scanning electron microscopy measurements. The corrosion resistance is investigated on exposure to the normal saline that indicates the fabricated disk UMEs can be used as the disposable basal electrodes. Prior to the electrochemical experiments the surgical scissors are used to produce tip surfaces. The electrochemical responses are sigmoidal in shape at different scan rates and indicate that the fabricated disk electrodes exhibit electrochemical response of UMEs. The data of cyclic voltammetry show that the diffusion-limited steady-state current of the electrode tip produced by the surgical scissors is too large for a 25@mm diameter disk electrode, so a polishing machine should be specifically developed to produce the electrode active surface for the quantitative analyses of disk UMEs with small overall size based on PECVD technique.

Description:
In this work a novel method for the fast monitoring of lidocaine in flow-injection systems has been developed. The fast Fourier transform continuous cyclic voltammetry (FFTCV) at gold microelectrode in flowing solution system was used for determination of lidocaine in its pharmaceutical formulation. The presented technique was very simple, precise, accurate, time saving and economical, compared with all of the previously reported methods. The recommended technique demonstrated some advantages over other reported methods. Firstly, there was no need for the oxygen removal from the test solution. Secondly, a picomolar detection limit was achieved, and additionally, the method was fast enough for the determination of any such compound, in a wide variety of chromatographic methods. The method was linear across the concentration range of 240-1.1x10^5pgmL^-^1 (r=0.996) with a limit of detection and quantitation 117.3 and 240pgmL^-^1, respectively. As a conclusion this system offers the requisite accuracy, sensitivity, precision and selectivity to assay lidocaine in injections.

Description:
A novel multi-array sensor using molecularly imprinted photoresists (MIPhs) as the recognition element has been fabricated with good resolution, stability and selectivity. The versatility of MIPhs in patterning electrodes with desirable configurations has been demonstrated in our lab previously. Herein, the conventional three-electrode cell was miniaturized within a confined space by taking advantage of photolithography. A novel series of acrylic MIPhs with a resolution of 20@mm were utilized to construct MIPh-based chips (MIPCs), which can discriminate albuterol from the interfering analogies, such as clenbuterol and terbutaline. Excellent selectivity toward these analytes (@b"A"n"a"l"y"t"e"s) was obtained for the MIPCs as compared to the non-template MIPh-based and bare Pt chips. Furthermore, the peak currents of albuterol measured on MIPC have good linear relations with its concentrations in the two ranges of 1-50@mM with the correlation coefficient (R) of 0.9995, and 100-200@mM with R of 0.9999 by differential pulse voltammetry (DPV). As the electrochemical cell on MIPC was reused 20 times, the peak current of albuterol changed from 2.453pA (pico-ampere) to 1.802pA with a relative standard deviation (R.S.D.) of 7.88%. The surface morphologies of molecularly imprinted and non-imprinted layers (observed by SEM and AFM) also displayed significantly different features. Because of small size, light weight and high specificity towards the template molecule, the multi-array sensor developed in this work is potentially useful for determining trace electroactive species either in vitro or in vivo.

Book Description
This book deals with the learning behavior of boundedly rational agents in economic systems. In particular, the modeling of learning populations by genetic algorithms is studied in detail. After an extensive review and discussion of the existing literature in the first part, a mathematical analysis of the dynamic properties of genetic algorithm learning in the general framework of systems with a state dependent fitness function is provided. It is shown that co-evolutionary economic models typically fall into this class and the usefulness of the analytical results derived is illustrated in several game theoretic and microeconomic models. The mathematical analysis is complemented by extensive simulation analyses. The last part of the book demonstrates how the obtained theory may be used to design the algorithm such that the learning of equilibria of the economic system is facilitated.

Book Description
The book is dedicated to the use of genetic algorithms in theoretical economic research. Genetic algorithms offer the chance of overcoming the limitations traditional mathematical tractability puts on economic research and thus open new horzions for economic theory. The book reveals close relationships between the theory of economic learning via genetic algorithms, dynamic game theory, and evolutionary economics.
Genetic algorithms are here introduced as metaphors for processes of social and individual learning in economics. The book gives a simple description of the basic structures of economic genetic algorithms, followed by an in-depth analysis of their working principles. Several well-known economic models are reconstructed to incorporate genetic algorithms. Genetic algorithms thus help to find genuinely new results of well-known economic problems.
