Very good and moving.......2006-10-24

Jessica and professor Louis Miles are running from Louis's wife Chole. learning later they will never be safe from Chole. Then at a cabin where Louis and Jessica are hiding Louis thought he heard something outside so he locks Jessica in the bedroom where Chole can't hurt her and while he's outside looking Chole sets off the gas stove. Louis saved Jessica but she had to go to the hospital and while she is in the hospital Chole comes and tries to stab her but stabs Louis instead. Then Louis Kisses Jessica tells her Chivary isn't dead and leaves with Chole and drives himself and Chole off a cliff if you read this book have some tissues nearby.

Jessica and Louis are deeply in love. Mark Gathers takes care of his 2 brothers and 1 little sister,so Todd and Elizabeth decide to help. Lila and Bruce get a place of their own,but nothing goes the way it should.The vegetables burn,and their parents cut them off. Winston is in the army for cheating and Denise is there,too. Louis gives Jessica a Unicorn necklace,It was perfect,as a child,Jessica belonged to a group of girls called The Unicorn Club.When Louis's Ex wife is after them,Louis saves Jessica,and Louis falls into the river or something.

I cried my eyes out when I finished reading this book! It was so sad that Jess lost one of true loves yet again! This ranks alongside a few other SVU books as one of the best written.

I have only read several books from this series and I find that Francis Pascal is a very good writer. I want to read more and more of the books on Sweet Valley University because I find them very intersting. This book I wanted to read from the moment I saw it, it caught my eye from it's title "Deadly attraction" I knew that it was going to be a great book, and it was!

One Of The Best SVU Books.......1998-01-18

Well I have about 145 Sweet Valley Books and I've read all of them.I prefer SVH series but I loved this book form this series.It takes your breath away and makes u want to read more and more.The scandal part is good but not that great altough Jessica's romance is perfect.The ending is so sad and this book is a once in a lifetime!

When I began reading this book it reminded me of RL Stine's The Girlfriend, but this one had an unexpected twist at the end, which not even I had sussed, and I usually do. Since it's not original or very scary I'll give it three stars, but it is a very enjoyable read

To the curious minds of today and tomorrow:

This book is an advanced treatment of x-ray diffraction, which should adorn the bookshelves of x-ray diffractionists.

It is a pleasure to see that such a diffraction classic is very affordable, thanks to Dover Publications. It is a "best buy" indeed since it offers a lot of substance for its price.

The uninitiated reader in X-ray diffractometry should approach it with caution, however. It is by no means a textbook.

Those who have a well founded working knowledge in X-ray diffraction, on the other hand, may want to read this book because it elaborates the underlying principles with utmost rigour.

As such, I highly recommend this book.

A Classic..............2000-06-12

Well...this book is definitely a "must have" book on diffraction if you're interested in this field. Dr. Guiner,for those who are not familiar with diffraction, was one of the leading scientist in the field and contributed much to the development of x-ray diffractometry. The book is definitely not for the beginner. However, for someone who has made his/her initial steps into the world of x-ray crystallography, this book might be rewarding to read for it discusses the fundamentals rigorously. The book is very affordable as well, making it a very attractive buy indeed...I highly recommend it.

Oh my,I absolutely love this book!! It is by far the most useful supplementary book I've ever used! I had a horrible AP physics teacher and textbook in high school, but this book saved me. The example problems in the book show us almost all the techniques we will ever need to know for introductory physics. It's easy-to-understand, yet sophisticated enough to be useful for college physics. It covers just the right material. I've personally found that in order to do well in physics, one has to be very good at recognizing what strategies are needed for a problem and then knowing how to apply thosee techniques; studying this book helps us with just that.

The way I do it is, for each chapter first I read through the summary (not long; just about a page), then I carefully read through most of the problems, and then put the word "key" next to the few problems that I know I must absolutely internalize because they contain crucial techniques. When tests roll around, I will study those "key" problems and if time allows, the other ones as well. And if you want to do really really well on tests, make sure you take a look at the last few advanced problems as well.

I am in an intro physics course in college right now, and I still find this book useful. This book helped me aced the AP, and is helping me stay in the top portion of my class right now. And, it's helping me appreciate physics more because I have the confidence to tackle problems. It takes some time to get stuff out of it. But if you put the time into it, this book will be soooo helpful to you!! :)

Great Calculus based supplementary book.......2007-01-04

Our school uses "Physics for Scientists and Engineers" by Serway and Jewett. The Schaum book of problems teaches some tougher concepts in a less complicated way. It's a "worth-your-time & effort" supplement to any calc-based physics book.

Latest edition of THE Schaum's for college physics.......2006-02-16

Many freshman college physics textbooks are just awful. They often go on and on about what is obvious and gloss over the finer points...and of course there are no examples. This is where this book comes in. As in all Schaum's outlines, for each topic there are a few pages of theory including equations, then some problems with the solutions worked out extensively, and then finally some problems with the answers but no extensive solution. The format of the outline is the same that you should expect in any two semester college freshman physics sequence. The first part of the book is an explanation of vectors, newtonian mechanics, fluids, and thermodynamics. The second part of the book follows the usual second semester of freshman physics - electricity, magnetism, and optics. The final seven chapters of the outline are an introduction to modern physics, which engineers and physics students would normally take after they finish the two semester freshman physics sequence. A note of caution - do not buy the attractively named "Schaums Outline of Physics for Engineering and Science". It is chocked full of errors! Instead, stay with this old reliable title. It is the best. This is the very recently released 10th edition, so Amazon does not show the table of contents. I do that here so you can compare it to the 9th edition and see if it is worth the upgrade.

Book Description

Anti-Semitism and British Gothic Literature examines the Gothic's engagement with the Jewish Question and British national identity over the course of a century. Beginning with an exploration of Jewish demonology from the Middle Ages to the Enlightenment, Davison interprets the changing significance of the transnational Wandering Jew in classic Gothic fiction who later migrates into Victorian realism. What emerges is the elucidation of an anti-Semitic "spectropoetics" that conveys how the specters of Jewish difference and Jewish assimilation haunt British literature.
