Great book for a unique insight into the history of the franchise and the experience of being a Cleveland Brown with unique one-of-a-kind illustrations and great stories as told by players. Browns fans will love it!

An interesting work by Natali.......2005-07-31

Alan Natali delivers dozens of excellent stories as told by former players.

The title of the book leads one to believe that there was a free-for-all meeting of these former players, but that is not the case. Each talks with Natali individually, and he splendidly pieces together their anecdotes.

Natali introduces each interview with a short essay pertaining to that player's life and accomplishments. The essays are well written and informative, as is the author's introduction.

All in all, this is a fine piece of work.

Nice book for people needing to know the basic and how it works and where to find things. I keep it next to my advance book. This book well not go in to deeped. but it will get you started and expaines what it for and how it works.

Little Relevant Info from a programmer's perspective.......2006-07-11

If you buy a server with Windows 2003 Server R2 pre-installed, there is very little you need to do in order to get it up and running as a web/apps server. As such, the book, while very clear, has joined my legions of forgottable IT books. It's not bad, it's just not filled with enough info to make it a must have. I supposed it allowed me to feel better that I wasn't alone in my configuration.

A good way to quickly catch up on Server management. About the only thing missing is Active Directory. Instead of just saying that its too big of a topic to cover, it would be nice to have at least a brief guideline to it.

Great Introduction Manual.......2005-01-25

This is a great introduction manual if you have never installed or used Windows Server 2003. I found it very easy to understand and it walked me through each step that would be of concern for a typical user.

Excellent Introduction to Windows 2003 Server.......2003-09-02

Don Jones deserves applause for clearly covering all the major areas of the vast Windows Server 2003 package in this easy-to-handle book. It steers the middle course between the vast "Mastering " tomes, and the near-useless "Dummies" approach. It lives up to its promise of teaching you what you need to know to start setting up and managing a Windows 2003 server with about 15 hours of investment in reading time.

The only thing keeping it from getting a full five stars was that it went a bit too briskly over DNS, where I get the feeling a couple more pages of Jones' on-the-mark advice could have saved me some hours of troubleshooting. On the whole, however, a very useful book.

Fulbrook writes in very informative and eloquent manner that makes this book very accessible to both college students and the casual reader. While introducing key themes of 20th-century German history, Fulbrook also offers her own very interesting perspectives rich with details. Finally, it was nice to see a book on German history that doesn't over-indulge on the Nazi period.

Very Decent Overview of the 20th Century as a Whole.......2002-01-22

While some periods, like the Third Reich, make books upon books in themselves, Fulbrook's narrative is concise and gets straight to the point. It tells just enough to whet one's taste and push them toward other topics. The post war period is especially good and destroys the black and white Communism is bad and FDR is good by showing how certain aspects of each were beneficial to people in each country. Very unbiased and very well researched. Not the perfect history book, but a near perfect overview into the most turbulent period in German history.

How you can trust a review?.......2001-08-10

Having seen the vicious review on file for this book I went out and had a look at the actual text. Nothing can be that bad. As ever, the one star rating tells you rather more about the reviewer than the book! This is a superb history, but of course it tramples over some toes of those who have a simplistic right and wrong view of the GDR. No doubt there are old scores to settle here. But it would be asking too much for someone to rise above their own prejudices and judge a book on its merits.

As an instructor of Human Sexuality, I have used several textbooks over the years and I always find that (while adequate) there is always something missing from each of them. You know what that means ... buying and using more supplementary materials.

Good history of early animal welfare movement and its role in environmental movement.......2007-01-05

This book provides an intellectual history of American views toward wild animals. Though the book covers other matters, its particular contribution lies in emphasizing the role of the animal welfare movement as a motive for preserving nature and wilderness. Mighetto examines the early years of the animal welfare and environmental movements in the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries, giving a lot of attention to fiction writers and the popular press as opposed to philosophers or theoreticians.

The animal welfare perspective tends to emphasize individual animals - - a Bambi perspective, if you well. As Mighetto notes, this leads to conflicts with two other strands of the conservation movement. First, there's an obvious conflict with hunters, who have historically been an important part of the conservation coalition. Second, there's a conflict with those who care more about biodiversity and/or whole ecosystems. For example, Mighetto discusses the problem of feral burros in the desert southwest, which the National Park Service would like to kill because they wreak havoc on the soil and native vegetation. Most environmental groups agree, but most animal welfare advocates would disagree with park service policy.

This is a small book but a worthwhile one. It's not a profound treatment of a big topic, but it does a good job covering its particular neck of the woods.
