Very poor content.......2006-07-04

I would be ashamed of this sort of books. The charts quality is poor, the chart are not prepared for the book at all, no text labels on important levels, dates are not visible, not clear how the line are drawn (from where to where) etc..
As for text content it is equally shameful. 3 chapters are devoted to moaning how good it was in the olden days when everybody drew chart on a paper, when prices where not decimal, when people stored historical quotes for decades and so on. It warns the reader not to use fibonacci and gann techinques very often (???). But there is no manual on where and when does anybody have to use it.
The book doesn't outlay any technique or theory at all. No definitions, no explanations, no rules. Just going throught some examples with very lousy explanations and which are useless without proper charts. I cannot imagine anybody benefiting from this book at all. So, even 1 start would be somewhat excessive.

If you want to buy the book, go ahead, just be careful of superbookdeals, they take your money but don't deliver and don't answer emails. Caveat Emptor.

Very Poor.......2006-05-25

A very poor book, a waste of money..

Maybe a newbie can find some usefull information inside, but nothing new or awesome interesting.

The same things are (and better explained) in other titles not so expensives.

Gann part maybe may be will came in "Fibonacci and Gann Applications in Financial Markets Part 2", because in this books just are some graphics examples and a few explanations (the CD has the same graphics).

Is like the author wants to show you a collection of nice graphics and good examples.

The Gann chapter jumps into the charts with applied thechniques without one explanation about itýs tecniques.

Better to you, keep searching for another one...

I would recommend this book to anyone and everyone. I have adored this book since the day I got it. Ted Naifeh is truly brilliant from gloom cookie and beyond I have adored every book he has had a part of.

Walk beyond the wild side.......2006-05-19

What's it about? Lots of things, and nothing. It's about gender, the social identity, but not about body features that determine sex. It's about the act of sex, too, or maybe just an act. It's about the constant, demanding search for the next big head rush - maybe not a thrill, but the thing that makes you feel like you're really alive. It's also about heroin, and the search for no feeling at all. Lost people, finding each other. Sometimes. For a while.

The artwork is stark and strong. It's angular and harsh, like the people in it. It varies a lot - black and white plus tan, B&W with grays, and a strong mix of computer work with pen and ink. In fact, I'd use this book to straighten out some dumb art student who wants to jump all the way into electronic images: it's not either/or, it's about expression. Have a picture with something to say, then combine the tools to say it.

It's hard, raw, and ugly in places. It's just really well done. I'm looking for more by this art team.

This book is absolutely brilliant. From the begining to the end your left with one question....So is she a she or not? The writing is...funny, sometimes cynical, but always deep. I would definantly reccamend this.

Robert Service writes excellently about Russia and this is a great companion to his history of russia in 20th century

A Glaring Error.......2001-11-17

Ms. Saaler tells us that Catherine of Aragon did not mind being divorced- had no problem with being put aside by Henry VIII. Not true! If this error is any indication of Ms. Saalor's research, then the entire book needs to be read with a huge grain of salt. Very disappointing.

Interesting, but flawed........2000-01-10

This book pulls together a good amount of information about the life of Henry VIII's most neglected queen, Anne of Cleves. The chapters on her life following her divorce are especially interesting. Saaler, however, spends a fair amount of space contrasting Henry's divorce from Anne to his divorce from Catherine of Aragon, and it is here that she makes a number of mistakes. She makes numerous references to Emperor Charles V being Catherine's uncle, when he was actually her nephew. She also states that Catherine was precontracted to Henry's brother Arthur, but that they were never married. They did in fact marry, and the entire divorce question turned on whether or not that marriage had ever been consumated. These may not be grave errors, but they do tend to detract from Saaler's credibility for the reader who well-versed in Tudor history.
