I was in the bookstore wondering to get for my friend. A golf neophyte, he finds the sport both rewarding and relaxing. He once told me that golf was the perfect game and sport because, ''you aren't competing against your friends, you're competing agianst yourself." This was the perfect book for him and anyone who respects the game. Golf can be so very relaxing and it's nice to have a book that tells you where the fun is. I also enjoyed the book because it was easy to follow and inexpensive. This is a great Father's Day gift as well. Bravo.

What a great idea for a book! Why didn't somebody think of this sooner? I can't tell you how many times I've skipped an opportunity to play on the road simply because I didn't know anything about the courses in that area. Never again. The next time I'm hacking up a course during some spare time on a business trip, I'm going to blame the guys who wrote this book.

Recently, I read a book called Sharks. The was no ordinary book. The information in this book took years to discover.

This book gives details about different types of sharks. They tell you about great white's ect. They tell about their eatting habits. They tell about where they live ect. This book would be good for people grades 4-6. Some facts are they mate almost the same way we do. If they don't have any fins they can't survivw. It was copy writed in 2000.

Gentle, easy to read children's book with beautiful illustrations. Tells of a child dreaming of going fishing while doing chores on the farm. A way to introduce animals and life on a farm to children in the city. Delightful!

A Must for Middle School Teachers.......2001-06-13

Teachers love this book and tell me they share the contents with parents at Open House, with administrators when justifying using YA lit in their classrooms, and to plan their literacy lessons. Mothers have said that it helps them to understand what is happening in their middle schoolers' minds. Some of the chapter titles are superb - my favorite is "There's a war going on inside my head." I wish it had been available when I was teaching middle school.
