Sheffield is revealed (with some important qualifications) as a remarkably enduring and successful centre; and also a highly complex one, which cannot be fitted easily into present theories of mass production and entrepreneurial failure.

This book is pure genius, and shows very very hard work and impeccable research efforts by Mr. (Dr?) Tweedale. His forthright, accurate portrayal of the developments and most importantly, the implications, of the steel indsutry in Sheffield, Britain, and the world economic structure was both enjoyable to rad and immnesely helpful in presenting me with THE authoritative secondary source on my research into the development of large-scale industrial capitalism. I enjoyed the book immensely and i would even recommend it to the casual reader, as it was enlightening but plain to understand, and yet also important and significant not only as study of the subject, but as a stepping-stone for further scholarship into other related areas.

This book is great! I am one who is very leary of preachers with money making gimmicks who appeal to people's greed. Leroy Thompson is a very genuine man who has the right Biblical explanation of why it is important for Christians to have money at their disposal. The book focuses on the importance of Christians becoming Money Missionaries- using money to get the Word out during these last days.

The book is useful, but it's too small. I didn't see a size listed. This book is only 7"by 5". It makes the exhibits nearly impossible to read without a magnifying glass.

This second volume of the Transactions on Computational Systems Biology is devoted to considerably extended versions of selected papers presented at the International Workshop on Bioinformatics Research and Applications (IWBRA 2005), part of the International Conference on Computational Science (ICCS 2005), which took place at Emory University, Atlanta, Georgia, USA, in May 2005.

The ten papers selected for the special issue cover a wide range of bioinformatics research such as problems in RNA structure prediction, coding schemes and structural alphabets for protein structure prediction, novel techniques for efficient gene transfer in phylogenetic networks, practical algorithms minimizing recombinations in pedigree phasing, parallel implementation in Open MP for finding the corresponding shortest edit distance between two signed gene permutations, and bioinformatics problems in DNA microarrays.

This text provides a good overview, and then in-depth analysis of several of the micro-optic building-blocks used in modern photonic components (as well as other applications). Refractive and diffractive elements, GRIN lenses, gratings, isolators, photonic crystals, as well as imaging and arrays are each covered. Since these basic micro-optic structures reflect key areas where intensive research is being conducted for the next generation of optical telecommunications products, this book is a wise addition for anyone working (or planning to work) in the fields of applied optics, photonics, or optical telecommunications components. I refer back to it frequently.
