Tommy Emmanuel's cd's and dvd's are tremendous. But this "book" by Mel Bay Publishing is a joke. Why? Because it is the equivelant of 6 pages long. I could not believe this was ever priced at $15. It is a tiny steo up from the freem music folders. It should have been far more material, or far less money.
I've been around the music industry for decades and have never seen a worse value.

Fingerstyle Guitar.......2007-01-22

I prefer Mark Hanson's fingerstyle guidebooks better.

This book does not explain enough about finger-picking methods and it may not be easy for newbies who aspire to be Tommy Emmanuel overnight. Fans of Tommy and guitarists who are already proficient with fingerpicking styles will find this book more enjoyable.

GREAT CASE STUDY BOOK.......1999-09-06

This book is a really good book, because it discusses about the season 1 of ER. It puts into great depth about all of them. I am interested in going into the medical career so this is a great idea to read.

Too much about the patients, not the doctors.......1999-04-15

ER is a show about the doctors, not the patients. All this book has is detailed summaries about "the woman with abdominal pain", "the child with the broken arm", etc. If you like hearing about every single patient that was on ER during the first season, and don't mind reading half a chapter about them, then this book is for you.

Very detailed, precise, and sticks close to it's title........1999-03-22

The book is beyond excellent, with unimaginably detailed summaries of each episode in the first season of the drama. It's also includes detailed reports on each of the patients treated and seen in the County, aswell as bits about the main cast members to the recurring ones, and a large list of the most drunk patients to the most lucky ones to the most unfortunate ones, and on, and on. It also has a 101 question IQ test to see what your ER IQ is, and medical glossary to find out the terms that are thrown around by Mark, Susan, or other staff members while wheeling somebody on a gurney to trauma. This book is highly recommended.

This is an amazing guide to the first four seasons of the best show ever made. It's filled with facts on all characters - major and minor - along with show recaps and actor bios. It is essential for all true ER fans to own.

This book is chock-full of information about characters, plotlines and episodes. Although it only goes through the fourth season, leaving certain aspects of characters lives unknown, it is a definite for any ER obsessive. Each main character is discussed in detail, including education, personal life, family members, situations at the hospital and professional evaluations. Each minor character is also discussed briefly. Every episode starting with the pilot through the last season four episode, "A Hole in the Heart" is summarized by plotline as well.

As an ER fan, I found this book informative and fun. Though some newer characters are left out, the book is very detailed and easy to refer to when watching the show. And if you want to know just how many of Mark Greene's relationship were work related, you need this book!

Domino Developers (new and exp.) Will Like This Book.......2005-12-09

I was a Lotus Notes email user for a long time, and then got asked to start creating some small databases for my department. I had hacked for a while and had the basics down, and then this book really helped me figure out the little nits that it takes to build good applications. Not sure why the "admin" types are saying this is a lousy book ... it is clearly intended for people creating databases and not for admins. Anyway, if you're a new developer or programmer, I think this book will help you.

I thought this book was superb. It covered a wide variety of topics with much depth and is a great resource. I've read several chapters now and have a much better understanding of Notes and Domino 6. Many books out there don't do as good a job as this one does. This book has it all! I would certainly recommend this book to anyone wanting to master Notes/ Domino.

This book is for Lotus Notes users only. Absolutely not for Domino admins. The help database is a lot more useful for admins. The author should take Domino part off the book's title.

Riemann introduced the concept of a "local system" on P ¹-{a finite set of points} nearly 140 years ago. His idea was to study nth order linear differential equations by studying the rank n local systems (of local holomorphic solutions) to which they gave rise. His first application was to study the classical Gauss hypergeometric function, which he did by studying rank-two local systems on P ¹- {0,1,infinity}. His investigation was successful, largely because any such (irreducible) local system is rigid in the sense that it is globally determined as soon as one knows separately each of its local monodromies. It became clear that luck played a role in Riemann's success: most local systems are not rigid. Yet many classical functions are solutions of differential equations whose local systems are rigid, including both of the standard nth order generalizations of the hypergeometric function, _nF _n-1's, and the Pochhammer hypergeometric functions.

This book is devoted to constructing all (irreducible) rigid local systems on P ¹-{a finite set of points} and recognizing which collections of independently given local monodromies arise as the local monodromies of irreducible rigid local systems.

Although the problems addressed here go back to Riemann, and seem to be problems in complex analysis, their solutions depend essentially on a great deal of very recent arithmetic algebraic geometry, including Grothendieck's etale cohomology theory, Deligne's proof of his far-reaching generalization of the original Weil Conjectures, the theory of perverse sheaves, and Laumon's work on the l-adic Fourier Transform.
