impractical guide!.......2000-08-30

This book did not provide specific information on how different companies developed non-financial reporting indicators or what different industries are using. It was very difficult to understand and follow and does not provide state of the art information on key performance indicators. This book seemed esoteric and overly academic without practical application, not surprising given the source is the Financial Executives Research Foundation.

THe practice tests is what really made this book great. They were a little easier than the real thing, but are helpful. The review is very good, showing that you only need a broad knowledge for the test. If you are taking a regents exam (NY) then this book is helpful because it does not use reference tables, forcing you to actually know the tings you do. They did a good job.

Great for a quick review.......2006-12-28

This book is good to get in September to summarize topics learned in class or to study from in May or June for an SAT II. If you are looking for a book that will OVER prepare you, the consensus is Barrons. I have both and I can tell you that Barrons is thorough where Princeton Review is brief. My friends last year used this book and did very well (think 700+) so it isn't dooming you to fail. I used Princeton Review for biology last year, and I must say it is pretty good at showing you the types of questions and how things are asked. In conclusion, Princeton Review is good for a crammer with two months or less, or as a quick way to get main ideas.

Buy it it rocks!.......2006-09-10

Getting a 700+ on the SAT2 requires more than just a review book, it requires study. This book is a great help if you learn the material, and take the practice tests. You go in feeling prepared and knowing how to manage your time. No magic bullets, just good preparation and practice with this book works miracles. The book doesnt teach you chemistry- it teaches you college board chemistry- all its going to teach you is how to put what your teacher said into SAT format and get the right answers- it works! ( i got a 710 !!!)

This book is thorough and detailed. You can go at your pace and go back over anything you don't understand, as many times as you like. It even has techniques to help you learn to associate concepts. I give this book 4 stars because it has really helped me so far, but there's always room for improvement.

NOT too easy.......2006-07-09

I don't know why people are saying the practice tests are too easy - I never got above a 740 on the practice tests, but I got a 770 on the actual test.

David Irving is a despicable liar.......2007-04-12

As everyone who visits this page already knows, Mr. Irving brought a lawsuit against Penguin Publishers for libel, claiming that Mr. Irving was not a falsifier of history. After an extensive trial, an English court found that Mr. Irving had not been libeled by Penguin, because Mr. Irving did knowingly and consciously falsify the historical record in his books, with the express purpose of advancing a National Socialist perspective. As a result, all of Mr. Irving's work is suspect. There are many excellent books about the Nuremberg trials--and this isn't one. Finally, I need to correct the implication that the Allies combined to buy into Mr. Stalin's attempt to pin the massacre of the Polish officers in the Katyn forest on the Nazis. The Soviets wanted to include this massacre as one of the Nazi War Crimes, but the British, French, and Americans were able to remove that allegation from the indictment--because it was clear that Nazis were not guilty of THAT crime.

All in all, your forty-five dollars and time can be mush better spent on something other than this whitewash of Hitler's Germany.

Superb Research, But.........2005-02-27

Irving has done it again--superbly researched and documented demolition of the Nuremburg 'Trials', that farce of victor's justice in 1945-1946. As one reviewer has pointed out, correctly, perhaps not as well written as some of his other masterpieces. It does not flow quite as well and seems to be thematically a bit scattered. BTW, plenty of mentions of the Jewish Genocide for all those traditional enemies who continue to lie and defame him as a 'holocaust denier'.

Remember the Katyn forest massacre..........2005-01-09

...when you read about the presence of Stalin's thugs at Nuremberg.

As you may recall, in 1943, German troops stumbled across mass graves in the forest at Katyn, near Smolensk. They called in forensic experts from a number of countries, including neutral Switzerland, claiming quite rightly, that the Russians had massacred Polish officers and civilians (in May, 1940) - more than 20,000 of them, as it turned out later - yet the US and UK chose to believe Stalin's lies when he blamed the Germans.

David Irving's underlying point, that you're only a war criminal if you lose, is well made, over and over again throughout this substantial book.

Don't get me wrong, some of the judgements were entirely appropriate, and I'm not a Holocaust denier. Zyklon B WAS the most efficient way to kill large numbers of humans, as it was readily available, easy to transport, and you need infinitely less concentrations to kill people than to kill insects; and it was clearly not merely used for de-lousing. Equally, I totally accept Israel's right to exist, alongside the Palestinians, but I also recognize that there are times when people are blinded by their own self-righteousness.

How some of these charges were ever brought is highly questionable, and how Hess, who spent the War under guard in the UK ever ended up as a show prisoner in Spandau, to appease that filthy butcher Stalin (I have Polish friends, so I will not apologize for the strong language), is just one of many mysteries.

A Polish friend told me a joke that runs... A Polish soldier has a German coming at him from the left and a Russian from the right. Who does he shoot first? Why, the German, of course. Business before pleasure.

To the victor the spoils? To the victor the rules.

A very sobering and detailed book. I think David Irving did a fine job. Oops, does that make me a Nazi?

Great facts so so layout.......2003-06-22

Any guy who gets banned in 20 countries just for speaking the truth is OK with me.

This is the only David Irving book I've read and in some ways I was very VERY impressed but in others disapointed.

I was impressed by Irving's first hand research. True to his reputation, Irving bases his books on first hand rare documents. But Irving's first hand anyalisis is stunning. Mainly Robert Jackson's diary.

I was let down by the book's format. The information is not layed out well and hard to follow. The facts are great but they do not read well.

I've heard some moan "It's Holocaust denial." I guess they haven't read the book since Irving never says any such thing.

Irving does it again........2002-04-29

It is astonishing to me how David Irving can take us back in time, over fifty years back, and allow us to feel in our souls the happenings at Nuremberg, the sounds, sights and smells of a destroyed city where the victors prepared for peculiar reasons to torment their enemy captives before killing them. We wanted men like Goering to be killed, but did not expect such a trial. I was in the British army in Germany at the time and the minute details of behavior that Irving records ring absolutely true to me, though as a common soldier I, of course, knew nothing of the junkets and gambols of powerful military and juridical elites. What struck me most vividly in David Irving's book was the role played by personal ambitions. "Hitler's War" and "Churchill's war" are in my opinion more vivid books, dealing with the petty chicaneries of powerful men while the populations of Europe suffered and died, essential reading for sure, but "Nuremberg" completes them as a capstone finishes an entrance way.

This book shows the similarities of the World's major religions. In the intro Mr Peterson encourages the reader to stay open-minded and consider another religion's point of view on different topics. A must for those interested in religious teachings.
