Everyone in my accounting class is raving about how much this products has helped them understand the assingments. I was skeptical but I too found ALEKS to be easy to use and very helpful. However, I feel like this product could have been at least $10 less than it was. Still, it was worth it.

Rep Pennyworth is a junior partner in a major Indiana law firm, but he is not a typical Midwest lawyer. He is content in his relatively low-level position and has no desire for any excitement especially at work. His only exception is his enjoyment for spanking fantasies that he indulges in chat rooms and Internet porn sites.

His quiet lifestyle changes when he is forced to take on Charlotte Buchanan as a client since her father is one of the firm's most important clients. She wrote a novel "And Done No Other's Harm", which was made into movie without her consent or remuneration. What is a simple case of copyright infringement turns into a criminal conspiracy that threatens Rep's life.

SCREENSCAM is a satirical take on legal thrillers that uses humor to enhance the plot. The protagonist is an "everyman" with the concerns and fears that all humans have. That makes the hero accessible and likable to the audience in spite of his fetish, which is the high point of slapstick. Michael Bowen has a refreshing style of writing that will make this author a cult favorite.

Thomas Ayers treated the subject matter as if he were raised in the south. It's refreshing to know that reseach has been done and facts published proving that many of those yankee produced history textbooks were more proproganda than factual. Charles Anderson, Abilene, TX, wrote a great book (with maps) on the Mansfield battle.

Dark and Bloody Ground: The Battle of Mansfield and the Forgotten Civil War in Louisiana.......2006-02-22

Excellent reading, very informative and interesting. Mr. Ayres is a top notch storyteller. Nothing dry or boreing about this little book. My only objection to the book is the small print.

A Great Civil War History of Louisiana.......2004-04-15

The book was an easy and interesting read that keeps you turning the pages and not wanting to put the book down. Though the title can be misleading, as the majority of the book focuses on the war in Louisiana, the Battle of Mansfield is the climax of the book. I would definately recommend this book for anyone who is looking for a good historical read on the impact of the Civil War on Louisniana. After finishing the book I became a Gen. Richard Taylor fan. Good reading!

Good book, bad title.......2004-01-10

I enjoyed the book very much and would highly recommend it. As another reviewer suggested, however, the book's subtitle is misleading. The focus of the book is one the Civil War in Louisiana generally and on the military career of Dick Taylor. Both subjects are very interesting. I have a peculiar interest in the Battle of Mansfield. The treatment of that battle is relatively brief and not entirely clear, to me at least, perhaps because of the absence of maps. If you're not disappointed by what the book isn't, you'll probably enjoy what it is.

NOT WHAT THE TITLE IMPLIES.......2002-11-10

First: This is one great book. For someone not wanting to spend lots of money and time reading the WBTS in Louisiana, this book is one stop shopping. Second: two problems. Where are the maps! No maps, no battlefield dispositions, nada. The Battle of Sabine Crossroads (a.k.a.Mansfield) is covered in one chapter. I thought this was what the book was to be about. Still waiting for the one great book about this little explored battle. BUT, I loved the book. The author's style is excellent, his anecdotes were wonderful. BUY THIS BOOK.

Must have for architectural students and artists who.........2001-11-07

Must have for architectural students and artists who are intereted in organinc but systematic forms, surfaces.. Author's intention was to encourage mathematicians to illustrate their work but his topological sketches and concept is very helpful to artists and architects to understand topological sirfaces and volumes which is hard to depict with brain. For this book is already out of print and really hard to getm but I'm sure you'll put this in the most important book shelf. Very lovely book!!

A beautiful description of Japanese wildlife.......2004-12-19

This book has some nice pictures of Japanese scenery and wildlife.

The book begins by discussing the original inhabitants of Japan, whose descendants are the Ainu. About 24,000 Ainu still live on Hokkaido. And we then see our first of the interesting wildlife species of the book, the fishowl. After that comes a discussion of Shinto and Buddhism.

In the next chapter, we a long and fascinating look at the macaques. I think this is the best part of the book. After an interlude on Japanese art, we then get to see the famous red-crowned cranes. And the book concludes with some looks at dolphins, turtles, and serows.

I recommend this book.
