I have a technical degree, and I have also read very many popular science books. This is without a doubt one of best. It does not shy away from including most of more technical aspects of astrophysics and yet at the same time it explains them clearly and with beautiful illustrations. If your interested in the math this book is obviously not for you, but if want to understand the physics behind the math then grab this book as fast as you can.

I do not hesitate to give this one five stars. This book is worth every cent and more that I paid for it; I am reading it for the third time. I have never run across a book on this subject that covers as much ground as this one does with explanations that are as lucid. I have recommended it to many, and will continue to do so. The quality of writing is marvelous, and the organization of the topics is first-rate. Clearly, the authors spent a lot of time with this one, and they did it right! Good work, guys.

I didn't think that you could have done better than "Hold you down", but girl this book was the bomb. I laugh at Delicious and I hated the Wellington's for the way the treated Mina. Rita and Bernice was a trip. I can picture them on stage, being Salt n Pepa. But I love Victor, and I love the way he doesn't judge a book by it's cover. I can see his sexy and fine body. My book review is on a book called Mina's Joint. Mina's Joint was a very interesting book. The main character in the book was named Mina. When they say don't judge a book by its cover, they must have been talking about Mina's Joint, because once I read the first page, I was hooked on it. It was such good book. Full of drama, passion anything you can imagine. Mina finds out the man she is about to marry didn't turn out the way she thought it would, he used to beat on her and on top of that she finds out that he likes blue eyed men, but she gets her revenge when girlfriend gets the whole thing on tape with a little help from her friends. While you are reading that book you would think this chick would never leave her fiancé. But it doesn't turn out that way. In walks in a fine dude named Victor from her past and makes everything better in her life.... I loved this book I have read this book about 2 times that's how good I thought it was. If I could I would read it all over again. I made connections with the book not as many but I did, you can always connect to a book like this. I connected to the fact that she was in a love triangle and didn't know who to pick or what to do with her life. At times people don't know what to do with their life I know I don't sometimes. I really wouldn't say that the book is important to the world because it's an average book on an average girl that goes through some tough times in her life, but in the long run it was all worth it. Everyone has probably been through something just like that or maybe even worse. But I would say that it's a good book that people should read. I would recommend this book to everybody to read because it was a really good book, and if you like books that would keep you thinking or guessing what is going to happen next, then Mina's Joint is the book for you.

At last, a book which explains the most important issue of modern times in a way which will help rather than hinder the cause. Most racially-conscious writers are full of such spleen and venom that they overplay their hand and turn off those they wish to convert. Duke doesn't. He has clearly thought deeply about this issue and holds no hatred for anyone. He just demands the same rights for his own people that non-white "community leaders" demand for theirs. If every American read this book, Duke would be the next president.

I read David Duke's semi-autobiographical "My Awakening."

This is 3 books in one:

1)the Duke story
2)a study of race and society
3)a study of the Jewish question, including their dual code of morality, the non-Semitic origin of the Ashkenazi Jews, reasons why the accepted Holocaust story may be wrong, and the Jewish role in communism and the New World Order.

The portion on race and IQ cites the same experts as "The Bell Curve," but is nowhere near as dry or boring. This is easy reading because of the conversational tone of the book, and the very well-presented charts.

So, is Duke synonymous with hatred? Yes, because if you believe him, powerful people will hate you.

Enlightening.......2006-01-19

This book is probably the most important I've ever read. It is very difficult to find, a testament to the type of suppression that has followed the auther David Duke throughout his entire life.

The book jumps back and forth between details of the author's life and research on sociology, anthropology, history and genetics; all of it is carefully referenced. The transformation of the American media is shown clearly and factually. Foreign influences with nefarious purposes have been shown to exist at the heads of all major newspaper publications in the entire country. Most of the legislation which has brought down the national average IQ, school systems and neighborhoods are exposed. It was all blurry before I picked up this book and it is now frighteningly clear. Everybody should read this book if we are to survive.

Those who have sought to discredit and bash the author have been shown as the criminals they are. David Duke has never commited a violent or criminal act in his life, yet he was almost murdered on three occasions. Why? There is not a racial slur or virulent phrase in this entire book. The message is purposeful, positive and redeeming. Open your mind and give it a read, it's well worth it.

Warning this book will cause your IQ to drop by several points. Mr Duke using flawed and false research and broken reasoning to make the same old tired racist claims of superiority of the white race. The views being no diferent than when he was spouting them as a member of the KKK, same old pig but with new lip stick. what magazine/comic book did he apply to for his PHD? The only people who will find this book useful will be those wishing to re-enforce the same point of view.

Portrait of A Giant Among the Jews.......2000-04-03

Seidman does a wonderful job recounting the life of Menachem Begin. He does so from first hand experience from his long standing friendship with Begin. He explodes the myth that Begin was merely a war-mongering radical, and explains what real Zionism meant to him. Explored is the genius that made Begin both poltically controversial and for most of his career unpopular: that is his ability to distinguish potential peace partners from intractible enemies. Begin is portrayed accurately as a true hero to the Jewish people.

A badly needed tribute to the original Likud leader, now sadly lost to history, infrequently remembered and rarely celebrated.

Although physically petite, Menachem Begin was a true giant among statesmen in general, and the Jewish people in particular. This book explains why.

Hillel Seidman (the author) has experienced Jewish history as few others have. As a survivor of the Holocaust who was active in Polish politics before the war and Israeli after the war, he has a broad and encompassing perspective. As an added facet to his personality he was a religious leader as well. He has a story to tell.

His story is uniquely Jewish - and uniquely honest. He introduces us to former Prime Minister Menachem Begin from the perspective of a friend and follower. He isn't carefull about how he presents his story, he just lets it gush out as it comes to him. Many have written about Menachem Begin but none as compellingly honest as Dr. Hillel Seidman.

There are few Jews today who still share the "survivor" emotion and waultenschaung of Seidman and Begin - and that's a shame. The classical cliche about Jews is: "Two Jews? Three opinions!" Our infighting and devisiveness are legendary. Only one with a real "survivor" perspective is able to say, "Ahavat Yisrael above all".

I highly recommend this book. Meet Menachem Begin.

this book is a must have for anyone who has ever worked as a cowboy or want to be one... as someone in the this line of work, it is great to hear that these things happen to other people.. everyone needs to be reminded to look at the humor in all things... this book is great at makings things seem better and for a good laugh... it also makes a great coffee table book to share with friends... i hope that you enjoy it as much as i did...
