It can be used by anyone, regardless of the level of their business and accounting knowledge. In this regard, I agree with the comments made by Leon Lebensbaum as set forth on the cover: "Will well serve both the neophyte and the experienced practitioner."

Wiley is better.......1999-07-22

I found a couple errors which is no fun when you are using a technical book as a reference source. The only other GAAP book I've used is Wiley and I think it is a much better option.

Product Description

British annuals are normally a collection of new and reprint material with color and black and white interiors. Published annually in hard cover, they are dated, if at all, one year ahead of the copyright. Most annuals contain illustrated text stories, comic strips and features such as puzzles, games, even articles. The art, mainly unaccredited, is average to good. This 2000AD annual features a seven-page color Rogue Trooper strip art Cam Kennedy by he also does a one-page color painting of Jude Dredd. There are three other color strips: ACE Trucking Co, Judge Dredd (Ian Gibson) and Strontium Dog (Erzquerra). Black and white strips include, the final three-part Shako (the killer Polar Bear) in it dies at the end; plus the Judge Dredd newspaper strip script by John Wagner and Alan Grant.

I like non-traditional alphabet books, the ones that don't always use apple for "a" and x-ray for "x." This one not only has fun new words, it has great pictures to go with it.

This is a basic concept picture book about the alphabet. Each page features a letter and a word that starts with that letter. In each illustration there is a cow. The illustrator Woody Jackson also does the drawings that are on the side of Ben and Jerry's ice cream containers.

I read this book aloud to my 1 ½ year old sister. She seemed to enjoy looking at all the cows in each picture. She tried to "read" the book along with me.

I would recommend this book for parents to read aloud to the 1-4 croud. They will learn a lot about the alphabet in a fun way.

About the author:

Dave Whiteman was born in 1954 in the Willamette Valley of Oregon. He still lives in a small town in that valley raising his children. Dave is a single parent who originally wrote these stories so that his three sons would know of a special place, with special people, during a magical time, long, long ago. His children are his biggest fans and describe their Dad and his book with their quote "Never judge a book by its Author!" Dave's parents worked in the sawmills and feed-stores of yesteryear, and through example, taught their kids a very strong work ethic and unique outlook on life. They raised themselves and their five rambunctious, hell bent for leather, and just plain strange children, out in the country. Dave thinks it was the town's idea that his family live out in the country as he believes the town wasn't ready for his renegade siblings or their adventures. After reading these stories, you will tend to agree.

These are the tales of Dave's adventurous, yet accident filled, youth set in a mostly rural environment. These stories will make you laugh until you cry, scratch your head in total puzzlement, just plain cry and then laugh some more, all the while bringing back many memories of your own childhood, or thankful that these weren't your childhood memories.
