It is intended primarily for use in the interpretation of remote observations of the surfaces of the Earth and other planets, and it will also be useful to chemists, physicists, geologists, engineers and others who deal with particulate media. Topics include propagation and absorption of light in continuous media, reflection by smooth surfaces, scattering by spheres and irregular particles, reflectances and emissivities of particulate media, reflectance and emittance spectroscopy, and the polarization of light scattered by particulate media. Here's a book on e-business that is actually entertaining in the way it approaches its subject. This book takes on the ambitious task of addressing both the B2C and B2B aspects of e-commerce, full of good insights and constructive advice in both areas. Mr. Taylor and Ms. Terhune combine the best of their experience from Gartner with new, independent research and conclusions, all written in an entertaining, informative way. While not outright funny, but written in a light style that makes it more readable that most of the E-Business books I've read.

What are the economic prospects for Britain and the other major world economies over the coming years? Creating sustained economic growth and tackling unemployment remain centre-stage in economic policy debate across the globe - and look set to remain there for the foreseeable future. A key obstacle to the restoration of full employment is the erosion of industrial capacity to the point where it is no longer adequate for employing the available workforce, even if the necessary demand for the output is there. rebuilding that capacity is essential if demand is to be allowed to increase sufficiently to bring levels of unemployment significantly below those prevailing in recent years. Decisions on capacity rest on demand prospects, while demand management is inhibited by fears that capacity shortages will lead to renewed inflation.
