It surely must be me - that I did not find this book earlier. :).

The examples are very relevant and the points simply hit home. Finally after reading (daniel goleman, dale carnegie, napolean hill, ...) a whole bunch of other books .... here is a book that provides a constructive way of making a difference. It'll surely change yours.

Cannot stress this enough - get the book. Can't afford it new? buy it used. Buy it and buy it now!

Cannot these concepts be presented in plain English rather than convoluted jargon? If you, like me, have been looking for a book that will bring NLP skills to the real world, you've probably noticed that 90% of the titles are published by "Meta Publications" or "Metamorphus" or "Crown House" publishers - all seemingly established by nlp trainers. The usual approach of the books is to present transcripts of training seminars (with commentary annotations if you're lucky). At least this book ATTEMPTS something more than that.

Unfortunately, it still requires that you steep yourself in the whole language of "meta-" this and "meta-" that and try to wrap your thinking about business situations in that quagmire. If I had not already worked my way through O'Connor & Seymour's "Introducing NLP", I would have given up on this book after a few chapters.

Even more aggravating is the shallowness of the material once you learn the jargon. The book jacket promises to help you "get the best from your teams, motivate people, developed committed responsible staff, develop leadership." OK - so who doesn't? What it offers is little more than management principles you've been learning since day one. If nlp has the potential to "influence success and change" in corporate environments, it's going to take something beyond this item to achieve it.

In the introduction Molden says one of his favorite books is Peter Brook's "The Empty Space." I think I get the joke now: Although every page of Molden's book is covered with words, the effect is to provide us with Empty Space on which we are to imagine all the "Magic" and "Ultimate Human Potential" that nlp is supposed to offer. Potential? Potential to continue buying nlp books until I give in and attend the "Master Trainers' " seminars and be initiated as a High Priest with secret handshake and jargon password? Does that work for you? Ah, then perhaps you'll want this book.

Despite the praise of Don Mitchell (who rates all positive-thinking books with five stars) and George Zee (who loves EVERY badly edited nlp book ever printed): CAVEAT EMPTOR. If you are a management professional who wants to determine whether nlp holds promise for more effective corporate functioning... don't hold your breath looking for it here. Struggle through the jargon & amorphous conceptual landscape of O'Connor & Seymour first; then you'll be better equipped to evaluate the inflated claims for "the magic of nlp."

I had high expectations of this book. But the material presented in it could not even come close to meeting them. This book does not add anything to what you already know.
Determine what you want and take the necessary steps to achieve that goal. Have strong believes and principles but stay flexible and be able to adapt when required. Be open to others, listen to what they have to say. Share your point of view, but don't force it on people. Study "succesful" people and learn what makes them succesful. Then integrate that information into your own life.
It's amazing the author needs 300+ pages to deliver this message.

There are many great books available on how to reach your full potential as a person, but this is not one of them.

Have you read a lot of the NLP books out there, and maybe even poked around to see what's on the internet about it, and yet still feel like you haven't quite gotten it?

Join the club.

That's because NLP often involves so much that you can't write down, that even the people who can do it quiet well can have a hard time writing good books about it.

'NLP Business Masterclass' is one of the rare exceptions that will provide you MANY exercises of things you can experiment with IN REAL LIFE, right now, to learn how to incorporate the methods and insights that make NLP so valuable.

It might help if you already know something about NLP, although it's certainly not necessary. But even if you're an NLP trainer, this book has much to offer. So no matter what level you're at, I cannot more strongly urge you to buy this book, get some friends together and play with the exercises, until you find that you can't NOT communicate with the new levels of effectiveness, clarity and impact that you've learned.

this is a great book to understand the details of training for cycling using a powermeter. a necessary reference for the library of an athlete with a powermeter. this is the first of its kind and does a great job directing the reader in methods to analyze power data from rides, get the most of workouts, and monitor training stress. also includes pretty thorough reviews of the various powermeters on the market.

Power Meter Decision maker.......2007-01-11

This book is a must have for those already training with power or cyclists interested in learning what all the hubbub is about.

I bought the book in October 2006 because I had been hearing success stories from folks who trained with power. The book is well laid out and even provides enough information about the top four power meters and the software they come with to make a reasonable decision, however I would recommend joining some of the forums and reading as much as you can before you make your final decision.

Some of the topics were a bit technical, but you don't have to fully understand the most technical aspects of the book to find the information within these pages useful. I wanted to understand as much as possible without having to become a physiology major. With three readings under my belt I feel confident that I can create a reasonable training plan for improving my standing within the weekend group century rides. In addition to the book the authors provide a power meter course that visits major cities. I believe serious cyclists will find this course helpful especially if they read the book first.

My power meter, which this book and the forums helped me choose, arrived this week. I hope to install it over the weekend and take my first fitness test so I can build a power based training plan.

I am an experienced racer in triathlon and MTB ultra-distance events. This book, coupled with my new power measuring tools and my long-time use of a heart rate monitor, has taken my training to new levels. I am a detail-oriented, technical person, and the book satisfied my need for insights into how and why things are recommended or advocated. I found the advice and techniques to be absolutely useful in helping me improve my knowledge and my performance. I am wasting less time training wrong and getting more back from my sessions in the few months since I began reading this book-- but it will take me years to master the material inside, which tells me that I've got a real reference as opposed to an owner's manual here. If you're going to train with power, don't do it without this book.

my grandma got the first three books for me as soon as the time travel (book 3) one was in the book store. then she sent them to me in a package. when i saw them, i was in the middle of reading a different book (narnia, i think..), so i put them in my shelf so i could finish "the lion, the witch, and the wardrobe." when i finally finished that by thanksgiving '06, i pulled out the molly moon books and read the first one, the second one, and the third one, straight through in that one day! it was so much fun when molly and rocky (in the second one) were in New York, livin' the sweet life. and i thought my heart was going to burst when (also in the second book) the magpie could have made them into human being salsa!!!

but i thought it was great when they were in Sinclair's car, watching ms. trinkleberry and nockman. (hahahahahaha!!!)

i love this book, and ive loved all the other ones, too!

This is the second book of Molly Moon I've bought for my 9 year old. She loves them! It is a fairly thick book but she knocks it out in about 3 days. Highly recommend!!

Little Molly Moon was delivered in a Moons Marshmallow package to Hardwick House Orphanage. Molly Moon learns hypnotism, but with a diamond the world is changed and not everything is going in the right direction. Molly has to stop Davina and Primo Cell, but it is not going to be easy. With the help of her dog Petula and her friend Rocky they have to change everything. But the question is HOW?

This fantastic book by Georgia Bnyg is long but definitely worth reading. It is a great adventure and a fun book. You will not be able to out it down. It is filled with details and it will never get boring. If you want to read this book you have to read Molly Moon's Incredible book of Hypnotism. It is the first book of the series, and this series rocks!

Good info, some gaps........2003-01-17
This book has some really great pieces of information and I have shared it happily with my barn-mates. The author is somewhat brief in spots, and I finished it feeling like there were gaps in my knowledge that I needed to get other books to fill. I understand that everything about endurance riding cannot be covered in one tome, but I wish she had shared more of her obviously large bank of knowledge. Good ideas and great perspectives are sometimes hidden in sections where they don't belong, so read carefully.

I trained with the Ms. Snyder-Smith and worked with Ms. Kanavy in a week long clinic, and I can say unequivocally that the two practice all they talk about in the book. If you want to learn the basics of endurance riding, horse and human biomechanics, and just soak up some real state of the art saavy, Donna Snyder Smith and Valerie Kanavy are the ticket!
Great Resource for Every Rider.......2000-04-25
This book gives a good, solid foundation to the sport of endurance riding, and for every rider who wants a horse at its' prime. I am just starting in the sport and this book tells you where to start and how to prime your horse and get it ready for the competitions ahead. Through this book, I have broadened my knowledge of both the sport and how to work with a horse to get it in its best condition. The author includes valuable tips, exercises and pictures which demonstrate what you need and how to use them. I highly suggest this book for anyone interested in getting started with endurance riding.
How to ride far and fast on a healthy horse.......1998-07-10
Want to feel good, cover a lot of ground, and enjoy a real sense of accomplishment? And spend a lot of time with your horse? Then read this book. Endurance riding (strictly speaking, going 50-100 miles a day across the countryside for 1-5 days on or with your horse) should not be attempted unless you and your horse have some basic training, including physical conditioning, but with the right approach almost anyone can do it. Donna shows you how, from basics to true competition (not only how to reach the finish line in one piece but how to be one of the first arrivals on a horse that is ready and able to keep going). There are a number of books offering advice on endurance riding, and most provide valuable information, but I find this one the best starting point. Besides covering the fundamentals found in almost every endurance book, Donna offers exercises for you and your horse that help you both to finish without being cramped, exhausted or otherwise unfit to continue (I can testify to this!). She also injects many nuggets of wisdom from her extensive personal experience. Finally, the format includes many helpful diagrams, illustrations, photos, boxes, summaries, lists and references that get the necessary concepts across much better than plain words in a paragraph, which makes for easier reading and quicker comprehension. My only complaint is that the book is too big to fit in my saddlebag.
