Note that this book is not about the SAS, just great tracking skills and it is well worth reading.

Exciting book to read. The information offered in this book is very convincing, and it gives the reader an insight in what it takes to track humans or animals. I haven't practised everything I learnt from reading, but that's the other attractive aspect of this book: it is exciting and interesting just to read as a pastime and learn something more about human and animal behaviour.

The drawings are clear - if a bit crude. A novice will learn and enjoy just flipping through the book. It may take a few hours to digest everything crammed into a single chapter or even a few pages. Carrs is a very good communicator, though, so this is an excellent tool for teaching and learning.

The real Deal.......2006-03-25

In the brief of the book, it states the information was gleaned from FM 7-42, That is incorrect. The five Sgt's that wrote
FM 7-42 are all graduates of the SAS tracking school that Bob is writing about. That information was a result of the SAS trackers during the Borneo and Malaya insurections in the 1950's. FM 7-42 was not written until 1970 and approved in June 1973. I was one of those five Sgt's. David Scott-Donlane, author of Mantracking is also a graduate of that school. I would highly recommend both books if you are interested in tracking an armed enemy.

I bought the SAS Guide to Tracking on the sole purpose of needing a book to read on a long red-eye flight. Instead, this book has changed my whole outlook on the outdoors!

No, this isn't a miracle book that will help you track your prey just like Sam Fisher. However, this book WILL help you to further appreciate the outdoors. This SAS Guide goes into teaching animal prints, outdoor features, and general observations. It'll help you to notice these kind of things. It also covers more in-depth topics, such as how you can tell the gender of a deer by looking at the height of it's tracks in the mud.

The SAS Guide to Tracking is quite an interesting read for anyone interested in the outdoors, animals, or tracking.

The most inspiring wedding flower book.......2007-10-02

When looking for something fresh and new for my wedding flowers, I sifted through dozens of books that showed the same old arrangements and nothing new or creative. I own another of Stark and Adler's books, and was pleased to see they had written a wedding flower book. I was over the moon after ordering the book. The designs are simply beautiful! The flower choices are artistic, simple and help a bride to choose the right flowers for the growing season in which her wedding takes place. I carried this book to my florist and we recreated several of the arrangements for my bridal bouquets and table arrangements. Everyone was impressed with the floral arrangements and the vibrant color choices. This is the one book you need, if you are looking for a fresh, vibrant and artistic look for your wedding.

Large Photos Do the Trick.......2007-08-25

I'm marrying in November and went to the library to look up books on wedding flowers; this one came out to be my favorite so far. Although some of the advice is a little too frou-frou for my tastes (if you want Spring flowers in December, then have at it!), the bouquets and flowers are gorgeous. I actually read the captions for the photos more than anything else.

The book is quite inspiring with several flower types that you never thought to use, plus interesting wrapping of the stems.

My biggest cheer is for the size and quality of the photos. You can search online all you like for beautiful bouquets, and most of the time you get pixelated crap with colors that don't match the flowers at all.

I bought this book for my sister who is getting married soon. She loved the book! It has given her great ideas and pictures for her to express to her florist what she wants. Most of the bouquets are unique and the wrappings around the flowers are a wide variety and have great ideas. I would recommend the book.

Convincent interpretation of regionalism.......2004-07-23

The book of Mattli is a very convincent work in regional integration studies. His arguments is not based in a (traditional)economic approach where integration is viewed only for eliminating borders barriers.

Inside political science Mattli think in terms of the role of the regional leader, the external forces of economics and demands for regional rules as the driving forces of regionalism.

Chapter 2 and 3 are the best parts of the book, and i use these chapters in my courses of regional integration, in international relations area.

A much-needed comprehensive study of regional integration........1999-07-19

Mattli provides a thorough and careful study of regional integration in which he takes all previous theories, analyses them and synthesizes them into his own 'demand and supply' theory. If many questions about the current 'integrationist' trend were left unanswered, or poorly explained, by previous theories, both in economics and political-science; Mattli does a splendid job at explaining integration and its modus operandi. By looking at why many attempts at integration have failed and very few succeeded, and by looking at why and when 'outsider' countries attempt to become 'insiders', Mattli develops his demand-and-supply-side-conditions analysis of regional integration. His specialist knowledge of the current European integration (and previous historical attempts) is showcased in Chapter 4.
