Please don't rely on these forms to run your business. They're missing the details that make such forms useful in the first place, and there's no fine print telling you to run them past counsel to see if they comply in your state. The terms of use say that you can only use the forms for "personal or family use" - so how can you use it for your business? It's clear that the makers didn't give this much thought, so spend a bit of your own time, then run it past a consultant or lawyer - or better yet, hire a consultant to do it for you. You've got better things to do than worry about forms.

Russian face to face review.......2006-03-20

I bought this book for my Russian language course and am very pleased with the ease of the content.I had some self study in Russian but was unable to make alot of progress,with this book and the workbook I find it very easy to learn Russian.However,I must say that if you are not comitted to learning and spending the time to do so it will be aggrivating,so believe in yourself work hard and you can have alot of fun.I made flash cards of the cyrillic alphabet with the english sounds on the back to help learn pronunciation.Good luck.

Good, but out-dated.......2003-09-27

I use this book for an independent study course, and found it easy to use. However, it is somewhat out-dated. It lacks the ability to give you the knowledge to have a very nice conversation. Also, the book was published in 1995 and is slightly tacky. It is full badly drawn illustrations and lacks any real good pictures. One is left with the idea that Russians don't like photos taken of them, or that only rather odd looking people pose for photos. But, it is still a good book to learn the basics of the Russian language. In fact, the way the material is presented and learned is almost flawless. I would reccommend this book to beginners that want to learn the bascs at more than a travel level.

Was very helpful for self study course.......2002-04-06

I found both this book, and the Level Two edition (called Intermediate on amazon) to be very good. I lived in Russia for about 6 monthes, and before and after this I used these books to self-study Russian. I tried a number of other books, both easier and harder, and found this one worked the best for me. It is a good mix of vocubulary, grammer, and a holistic approach to Russian which I enjoyed. It is easier than the college textbooks I worked with, and provides more stand-alone exercises to drill in the material. With the more advanced textbooks I tried, they provided too many rules too quickly and not enough drills to force you to memorize them. In a classroom environment this might be ok, but for me this approach worked much better. The book is geared to a young audience, probably mostly high school students, but not annoyingly so. You can also get tapes with both books. These are a bit pricey, but useful for doing the listening and pronunciation drills.

Good book for beginners.......2000-02-07

This is a good book for beginners. It seems to be aimed toward a younger audience, but it's still good for adults. The book focuses on the overall language itself, not just vocabulary or grammar.

Imagine my surprise!.......2005-12-20

I had never heard of Aaron Tonken - I just bought this book because I like Hollywood scandal. Well! About halfway through the book, I did a Google search for him and imagine my surprise when the first 10 hits were news stories about Tonken's arrest and how it might affect Hillary Clinton!

Wha??? This got my attention because I have no love for Shrillary or her heinous husband and enjoy anything that takes a poke at them. So I scanned on ahead to get to the "meat" of the book - the part that was driving the FOBs nutty.

Tonken talks in the book about his Clinton fundraising efforts, but this by no means is the Clinton bash book the critics made it out to be. Shrill and Bill are mentioned along with many other famous names that cheated charity for their own personal gain. Sure, the Clintons are the most powerful of the bunch, but many celebrities, including the whole cast of "Friends", get a major drubbing as well.

As for the book itself, Tonken couldn't be more self-serving and pathetic. He gets taken for a ride over and over and over, yet is so star-struck that he keeps going back for more. He tries to pretend that he's some choirboy and didn't realize what he was doing was wrong - that he was all for the charities every step of the way. But we all know that's horsecrap. I've spearheaded a few charitable events myself and I can't believe it's that different in the big time.

So this book gets 3 stars - 2 for revealing petty Hollyweirds for the selfish greedy pigs they are, and 1 for good dirt. He loses 1 star for his pure ignorance and another for trying to pass himself off as a naive do-gooder who got taken.

Readable for sure...but horrifying on a million levels!.......2005-08-01

This book definitely qualifies as compelling entertainment to those who find the "behind-the-scenes" behavior of celebs interesting, but I'm STUNNED at this guy's "moronitude." He doesn't let himself entirely off the hook in his misdealings, but he plays himself off as a victim..when his CONSTANT weakness in fulfilling the insane demands of certain nightmarish celebrities makes him contemptible beyond belief. I wanted to like Tonken - he tells a breezy story & is apparently paying the price for his participation in financial scams...but I didn't find much of a soul there. To get involved with Roseanne at the late date he did shows judgement that can't really be justified. I would have liked to hear more about the (perhaps few) GOOD Hollywood/Washington, D.C. people - he alludes to them from time to time but goes back to the same self-indulgent nonsense of the others. It's a good read but it left me with a bad taste in my mouth. Nothing he wrote was a true shock (except, as mentioned before, Ray Charles' alleged cavalier acts)...but as seen through the eyes of someone who clearly has NOT learned from his misdeeds, it didn't really satisfy.

There is something perverse about forgiving Aaron Tonken his stupidity because he dishes out honesty; after being pimped for so long by so many all cut from the same cloth.Birds of a feather do flock together pal! You just have to be sympathethic to the author because he really wasn't in it for the money- he wanted the approval of the glitteratti.Chapter after chapter he does the same thing, starting small and moving up the ladder.No matter the rung the story is always the same, ego driven behavior fuels monkey see monkey do greed and a sense of entitlement.This book is a riot, and so badly needed now that the last bastion of tabloids- the National Enquirer- has joined the star-pucker bandwagon and chooses to befriend the celebrities in the hope that something good will rub off on them- or that the favors will be returned.
Read the book though and note the genuine , compassionate and refined minority that Aaron does have dealings with , including The Reagans, Englebert Humperdink, Red Buttons,Charlton Heston,and some other less than household names. Have some fun and read the book-

This book gives a truly pathetic look into a man who chooses to be a perpetual victim. He supposedly lives this lavish lifestyle, yet has nothing to show for it. He's obviously not up front about all his financial gains from his swindeling. Nor do I recall him ever giving any amounts that were actually donated to these charities.
And poor Cynthia Gershman! He befriends her only to badmouth her & use her the entire time. Even after she becomes a widow, he discloses her private affairs to readers.
No, he's not a con. He's not smart enough to be! He got taken by the money sharks & was warmly welcomed by others, only to betray trusts.
The raw truth is, he couldn't hang! He was too greedy & wanted it all at any cost. THEN at the end, he has the audacity to mention the love of Jesus! What a hypocrite!
I only read this book because it was given to me as a gift & I felt obligated. The only people he conned were people into buying this piece of garbage.
I hope his cellmate's name is Bubba!

this book is the closest expose of the greed that runs rampant with the most unlikely hollywood and political celebrities. it gives the reader an insight not seen before and absolutely dispels and exposes who and what these people are really about. they are not what the public see's or how they are hyped by the media in a positive vain but rather greedy heartless and completely insensitive to the charities they are supposedly helping. you will be amazed at the their insensitivity.

Technology books don't age well, but I actually wrote this review in my head four years ago. I'm just now putting it on Amazon.

Bergeron uses a lot of examples to illustrate his points. One is dining in "an upscale Japanese restaurant". We're there as Bergeron describes the orchids on the table, the helpful server, the relaxing ambience. Then he gets to the fortune cookies.

Fortune cookies?!? Japanese restaurants don't serve fortune cookies!

And it's no mere editing mistake: "Japanese" and "fortune cookies" are mentioned several times together.

How can I trust an author who is this sloppy with details?

I finished the book disillusioned and convinced that it was written only to cash in on the tech boom. If you take only one message away from "The Eternal E-Customer", let it be: Get the details wrong at your peril. Sweat the small stuff.

Not for people in the business.......2001-02-06

This book is not for people in the business of developing web sites for a living. The table of contents looks to be so promising with things like emotionally designed interface, etc. In the book, most concepts are not described well at all or they are described seemingly by someone who's just getting their feet wet in the biz. I hardly ever find a web book that I don't glean a couple interesting tidbits from but this is my first one.

It's great if you're getting your feet wet, not so great if they're already wet.

This book has worthwhile insights for everyone. Say you've never been sure of the meaning of stickiness, haptics, chatter bots, or auto-cannabilizing markets. Or say you know all that and want some practical resources for finding emotionally intelligent interface (EII) components. Bergeron provides all that, and in an engaging style that is knowledgeable without being esoteric. He uses believable, real-world scenarios to make his points and illustrate one of the major complaints about e-business: its lack of warm fuzzies to make customers want to come back. The Eternal E-Customer explains how a properly used EII can create an emotional bond between a company and its customers, a bond that means customer loyalty and continued business. Fun Without Sacrificing Insight!.......2000-12-25

The author made the book easy to follow and enjoyable to read -- without sacrificing the content at all. Reading the book was like sitting down with him and being given a private lecture on e-business. As a customer, I could see how companies have handled their businesses in the Internet era in terms of customer relationships. The aurthor's insight and optimistism toward Internet technology has widened my view. I sent this book to my uncle as a gift. I am sure he, who is a company CEO, will enjoy it as I did.

Not just for e-business managers.......2000-12-19

As a software developer who develops websites, since reading this book, there have been many times I've sat in a meeting wishing everyone else around me had read it as well. While reading it, I found myself nodding in agreement with much of what Bergeron says. Technical people and management as well as web designers should read this book (not to mention anyone who's in business at all, whether you consider yourself an e-tailer or not). There's a lot of insight that goes beyond web technology that should be useful to anybody.

The material is presented with humor and ease such that you feel like you're having a conversation with the author. Beware that if you don't read this book, it's possible that your competition might have read it and could already be implementing some of its suggestions.
