Book Description
Recorded history is a finely-woven magic fabric of intricate lies about events predating the sixteenth century. There is not a single piece of evidence that can be reliably and independently traced back earlier than the eleventh century. This book details events that are substantiated by hard facts and logic, and validated by new astronomical research and statistical analysis of ancient sources.

Calculations are only as good as your numbers.......2007-08-03
Yes, we can all agree that mainstream history is nearly 100% BS due to politics, economics, ego, problems with dating techniques, and various conspiracies. Agreed. But, I've been researching the distinct possibility that human history (in terms of civilizations) are much more ancient than we've been told, so coming across this book was very interesting to me. I wondered how Fomenko could be wrong (if at all) because he is very persuasive in his presentations. Then it dawned on me. If at previous times in prehistory, due to the various catastrophies that are well documented (comets, asteroids, planetary disruptions, plasma discharge, pole reversals, etc) the Earth was in a different position in relation to the sun, different tilt on its axis, different orbit, different rotation (in terms of velocity and DIRECTION), and the continents were in different positions, then would this not cause the ancients to see the sky (constellations) differently? In other words, is Fomenko making erronious assumptions about the physics of the Earth in pre-history, which then corrupt his data with regards to dating the relevant astrology? The last event to seriously disrupt our planet occured roughly 3500 years ago, according to other good researchers, so is it possible Fomenko has been confused by this? The vastly different physics of our planet in the not so distant past may explain this confusion, which is not to say the "mainstream" version of history is correct; on the contrary. I am not an expert in these fields, but wanted to see if this idea could spark discussion.
Pants on fire?.......2007-07-19
Will people ever read before spamming? Yes, Jesuits could not rewrite world history alone, they had help. Anyway, Dr Prof Acad A.Fomenko does not point to jesuits as the driving force of world wide history manipulation in published volumes 1,2,3;, actually he barely mentions the poor devils. Check it with 'Search inside' feature, please. China is rarely mentioned either, in fact, Dr Fomenko is completely eurocentric. Right, his theory contradicts all mainstream schools of history, because in their actual state they are all built on blatantly erroneus chronology. You don't need a mysterious cabal (conspiracy) to falsify history, the falsification is its modus operandi. It is inherent to history(ians) to falsify (distort) events, as it is inherent to humans to boast as it is inherent to power (authority) to legimize itself by referrring to glorious past made to its own order. Dr Prof Fomenko and team have identified scores of instances of such manipulation in Russian, European, etc.. history, and delivered valid statistical proof thereof. His own 'reconstruction' is completely another story. Forget c14 as a valid method of dating. W.Libby has initially discovered a brilliant method of INDEPENDENT dating. Too bad, c14 method has become a joke after a forced marrige with dendrochronology with consensual chronological scale inbuilt. Radiocarbon method can't stand blind tests, but is so very productive as a rubberstamp.
Accepted History & Chronology Must Be Changed. .......2007-04-09
There is no doubt that history as most know it is a sham, & institution's version of History both University & Church is fradulent & inaccurate. Everything was established with an agenda, The real "Dark Ages" are now when we have access to incredible amounts of information past authorities & more important 'common folk' didn't have but our institutions & educators are slow to evolve because of what has ignorantly & arrogantly been taught for too long. This is on many subjects not just Chronology.
For anyone to question "Why would a Mathematician have anything credible to say of History?" The answer is from Dr. Fomenko's preface in the book: "It would be worthwhile to remind the reader that in the XVI-XVII century Chronology was considered to be a subdivision of Mathematics." These volumes could possibly be some of the most important works to date & should be read by everyone with an interest in History, especially professors & educators who have a duty to the public. I have read both books & must say that 'Chronology 1' has some very eye opening & revolutionary information. Even if these volumes are part true the implications are profound & opens the doors to further investigations & questions which must be done. I speak several different lanquages & must say the logic Dr. Fomenko uses with "inflection" of words & words being read from left to right in one region & right to left in another then written backwards, the removal of vowels & get down to basics of words, or different cities & locations having the same name etc. is correct. Vowel usage has always been optional & varied, actually complicating linquistics & study. The first thing one has to understand is that words never had a fixed spelling in history like we do now, the spelling of words was mutable & regional, as well as names & titles of people were vast, varied & changed, NOTHING WAS FIXED or understood linear. Matters of Life & Death as well as financial profiteering yesterday & today were & are made with ignorant, illogical & conspiratorial views of history & reality, it's time people get closer to the Truth & society collectively grow up.
Very Interesting.......2007-03-07
It is a good proposal and I believe it will mature into something even better in the future. I think it deserves to be read.
History as Science Fiction.......2007-01-10
Anatoly Fomenko has written a very intriguing book, full of pictures, charts, and computer 'proof' of his thesis: backwards of AD900 we don't really know what happened or when. Between AD900 and AD1600 there is more certainty, but there is still a lot of fuzzy ground, and things don't get reliable until we get past the 1600's where the printing press made it very difficult for the perpetrators of this timeline manipulation to change anything that had been committed to print. The Dark Ages did not happen. Books were burned for a reason. One organization has doubled the actual length of its existence by expanding the real chronology. Read why.
I had always wondered why Christ died about AD33 and yet men waited until the 11th century to form the Knights Templar, the Cathars, etc and go after the Holy Land by force. Why the 1000 year gap? Turns out there wasn't more than a 10-12 year gap and he proves it using astronomy. This also implies that the planet is not as old as we have been told, and current Christian and other creationist scientists are already championing that idea without being aware of Fomenko's book. The two groups, creationist scientists and the Russian mathematical analysts corroborate each other. Fascinating.
Of course, all this flies in the face of what we have been told traditionally is the 'proper' chronology of western civilization, and most readers will experience 'cognitive dissonance' in reading this book. It means that our history going backwards from AD1600 becomes progressively more incorrect and unreliable until it cannot be trusted at all... in the space of 700-800 years.
Naturally, the curious, open-minded reader will want to know WHO did this, WHY, and did any of the events we think of as really ancient ever happen?
Dr. Fomenko is a respected scientist/mathematician at Moscow State University who has already answered these questions to the satisfaction of his initially skeptical colleagues. Most of them are now believers, a few still refuse to believe (the usual diehards), and of course the western press has ignored Fomenko's work -- for obvious reasons when you read the book. The ones who perpetrated this chronology ruse have a lot to answer for. They are still with us. That's why this book is a well-kept secret.
I gave the book a 4-star rating because I was unable to check out some of his claims; those I checked were as he said. But if even 1/3 of his claims are true, this punches a big hole in what we think is our history, the meaning of western civilization, our educational process (for repeating the ruse as gospel), and the trustworthiness of the organization that perpetrated this ruse, well-intentioned or not.
This book relates to current research into a Young Earth paradigm, to John Keel's discoveries about our planet, and Fr Malachi Martin's insights (in his now out-of-print books). We are indeed sheep who are manipulated and kept ignorant -- for a reason. While knowing what these men have to say may be the "booby prize" (as in: 'what can you do with this knowledge?'), it will provide interesting reading. Didn't someone say: "...and the Truth will set you free."?? For you to judge if this book contains the truth.
Book Description
The Lemming Dilemma introduces the crucial organizational learning discipline of personal mastery--the evolving process of self-awareness that enables people to create new possibilities for themselves and their organizations. In this engaging story, Emmy the lemming wakes up to her own purpose and vision, and defies the age-old urge to follow the other lemmings off the cliff. But Emmy goes far beyond a mere rejection of tradition. Through her own surprising choices, she inspires other lemmings to wake up to their missions and to pursue their deepest aims and visions--both individually and collectively. In this simply told story are profound lessons about what it means to be the leader of your own life and to share your vision with others. Includes questions for reflection and group discussion.

Taking the Leap .......2005-12-03
Books on vision are often dry and word-intensive. I was amazed at how this book was able to create a truly humorous book, while still communicating some very deep and essential concepts. I laughed my way through this delightful tale, and yet came away motivated to make positive changes in my life and to pursue my dreams. This was very easy to read, so much so that my 9 year old read and enjoyed it...but it is not a children's book per se...the messages are aimed towards adults.
The lemming dilemna.......2002-04-10
The lemming dilemna
Lemming life was happy and pathetic until one time. Lemming life was the same each year, with a cliff jumping festival. The festival was filled with fun, and they had many booths that would amuse lemmings and a elvis look alike contest. But then, at the end of the festival, they would jump opff the cliff, at least those who were old enough. At the bottom of the cliff awas so called "happiness and joy". After all of these years, one lemming asked why they jumped. Everyone said it was what their ancestors did, so they must do it too. But she wanted too find an alternative, some way too see that this was not the way too end your life. But she did not know if there were bad things at the bottom of the cliff or not. She had a vidion and mad a catapult to launch herself over the cliff and too the other side. It was a paradise, and she could also see that there were spikes at the bottom of the cliff. Then she founded a travel\airport and lived happily. But there were still some who jumped...
powerful book, changed my life.......2001-04-27
Simple, powerful, practical. I had read "The Fith Discipline" by Peter Senge and this book explained to me what was Personal Mastery all about in only a few pages using a powerful methaphor... You'll always remmember the story.. It worked for me... Now I feel that I have found my purpose in life.. I'm able to see want to create.
A Short Tale Of "Tails".......2000-08-05
Look up "lemming" in the dictionary and you will read: a lemming is a small arctic rodent with a short tail. They also have an annoying habit of being followers, not leaders--thus the cliche, following the other lemmings off a cliff.
However, even lemmings need purpose. In this colorfully animated , 80 some odd page book, author David Hutchens and illustrator extrordinaire, Bobby Gombert, present some very important life lessons in a most remarkable way--simply, succinctly, and concisely.
Using clever humor, we read the story of Emmy the lemming. Emmy has an epiphiany and decides not to jump. She also rallies others to be leaders not followers. Through metaphors and muse, people of all ages are reminded--"If you don't stand for something, you'll fall for anything"
As one of Hutchen's other books, "Outlearning The Wolves", this makes an excellent resource guide for teachers, parents, and business managers. Inclusion of probing questions for group discussion is a plus. Highly recommended, even for children.
other reading suggestions: "You've Earned It, Don't Lose it" by Suze Orman and "Outlearning The Wolves" by David Hutchens

Book Description
In his Path to Better Golf, Peter Croker sets out to completely change the way golfers learn to swing the club. He begins by stripping away all the misinformation that golfers have picked up while trying to improve their game. Then he introduces his Push action movement designed to help create a more natural and coordinated swing. The Push Action Swing requires very little practice to perfect and allows golfers to hit the ball more powerfully and accurately with less stress on the back.
Croker demonstrates that like hockey and baseball, golf is a hitting game. At the basic level, you need to learn how to hit the ball instead of relying on a technique to do it for you.
Customer Reviews:
Too Simplistic.......2002-06-06
I found the idea certainly novel but as I read along it became to simplistic to cure all bad golf swings. Not very helpful to me at all.
A brilliant book by an excellent teacher..........2002-03-15
Peter Croker's method is truly revolutionary. I attended one of his first U.S. workshops about five years ago as a frustrated twelve- handicapper and the techniques I learned from Croker turned my game around. The book is a no-nonsense explication of Peter's principles. The Push-Action swing that Croker advocates is easy to learn, and many of the innovative drills can be practiced away from the golf course. Traditionalists may balk at a swing model based on the idea of pushing the clubhead through the ball with the hands, arms, and body-- in other words, a 'hitting' rather than a 'pulling' action-- but my experience with this method has been very positive.

"two thumbs up".......2007-09-04
I recommend this book to anyone thinking about writing for children and anyone who currently writes for children. The book starts with the basics and builds towards the end. It is easy to understand with plenty of exercises to get those wheels spinning. Great for those interested in picture books, middle grade and young adult novels. A must have for a writer's library!
A. D. Tarbox, Freelance Reviewer for Midwest Book Review.......2005-12-07
CREATING CHARACTERS KIDS WILL LOVE is a wonderful resource for writers of children's books. The book gives a writer a lot to think about. The suggested exercises she gives in the book are numerous but valid in helping a writer zero in on making a character come to life. The recommended readings are also helpful so the writer can see fine examples of what Alphin is trying to get the writer to pay close attention to. I particulary liked her section on point of view. Alphin is an accomplished writer and her books include COUNTERFEIT SON, THE PROVING GROUND and GHOST CADET.

Writing Children As Characters.......2004-05-22
This is a very good source book for any one who wants to write for children, or have a main character that is a child.
It really makes you think and gives you very good insights on children. It's also very easy to read and enjoyable.
Love it--I'm sure you will, too!.......2002-08-24
What do you do when you don't feel like writing? You go online and review your favorite writing books on Amazon.com!
Creating Characters Kids Will Love is really a must-have for the wanna-be children's writer. This book and "Story Sparkers" (also available here--look for the set and save money!) are the best write-for-children guides I own, and I own nearly every one on the market!
The fun large format makes this book feel sort of like a workbook (though it really isn't), and it's easy to just flip to a section and start reading some helpful info without starting at the beginning. This is how I find myself reading this books much of the time (I get stuck writing and take a break by just reading some advice out of one of these). There's some very good stuff here, and lots and lots of recommendations for books and magazines to read, if you're the kind who'll actually go find the stuff!
This book concentrates on character development, with some how-tos on plot structure and conflict (as they relate to character development!) thrown in. Also, if you're interested in writing true stories or maybe historical fiction, there are chapters for you. All in all, it's really a good read. Even if you don't relate to the author's own examples of writing, you'll come away with a better idea of what kids (and publishers) expect in your manuscript. Good luck!

An homage to Barks.......2000-09-07
I am writing this within just a few days of one of the saddest days any comic book fan could imagine. Carl Barks has just passed on to that great Duckburg in the sky. This book is, without a doubt, the definitive tribute to a man whose genius is just now being recognized by many.
As you read these outstanding adventure stories - and that's what they are - you will come to know the technique of how this extraordinary man transcended the comic art into the realm of high fiction. Each story is written on two levels, sprinkled with humor and illustrated in such a realistic, yet exaggerated manner that allows the reader to identify strongly with the characters.
My personal favorite is "The Second Richest Duck." In this story, Scrooge, Donald and "the boys" have their true personalities come out with a richness found only in the best writings of major adventure authors and is the equal, at least, to the best Indiana Jones or James Bond story.
I read these stories to my son as he was growing up and promised him the book for his future children. My daughters now each have their own families and the stories are now read by me to my grandchildren. Truly, this tome is part of our family heritage.
I own the hardcover, coffee table edition with a signed, numbered print by Barks. I shall never part with the print, and will hand it down to my son in my estate.
Thank you Carl, for many hours of delicious reading pleasure and the exercise of my imagination. If I could rate this book an infinite number of stars, I would.
Comprehensive and Entertaining !!.......1999-07-12
This is a fantastic book, covering Scrooge McDuck's life from his days in the Klondike to space travel and flying saucers. The book contains many of my favorite stories including "The Second Richest Duck" and "Land of the Pygmy Indians". There is extensive written material about and by Carl Barks giving much insight into the man behind the duck. Finally, there is a checklist of the comics in which Uncle Scrooge appeared from 1952 to 1988. All in all, this book is a "must-have" for any serious fan of Uncle Scrooge.
The Duckman at his Finest.......1998-08-15
One of the best collections of comic art ever published, this superlative volume not only takes eleven of Carl Barks' best book-length Scrooge adventures, adds an original story and includes his own comments on each, but Peter Ledger's recoloring makes these stories look better than they ever have or ever will. The only flaw with the volume is that it will send you into a frenzy to read more about Scrooge...but thankfully, Gladstone Comics has all the stories still in print. Simply superb.
this is some good readin'. Mr. Barks is the best........1998-04-23
Carl Barks is a genious. He knows how to make an entertaining comic, unlike some of todays "hottest" comic book artists and writers. He has created, in my opinion, the greatest Disney character ever. Scrooge McDuck. Mr. McDucks adventures in this book take him from the Klondike, to the ocean in search of a box of horseradish, and many other places. Trust me. This stuff is good.

Scrooge - the ultimate capitalist with a heart of gold.......2000-05-04
I have had this book since the early 1980s. I read the stories to my son, and now to my grandson. My son made me promise that the book would be his when he had children. That's how good it is.
If you are a "Scroogeophile" like I am, this is the definitive Barks work. Not only is it coffee table sized, but in its original form, it included a signed, numbered print by Barks.
The color reproduction is excellent, and the book includes the most famous Scrooge stories: Christmas on Bear Mountain (the 1st Scrooge story), the "Horseradish" story (considered by most fans to be the best, although it is not my personal favorite), Micro Ducks from Outer Space and my personal favorite, The World's Second Richest Duck, where Scrooge and the boys face off against Flintheart Glomgold (what a perfect name) in a contest to determine who is the world's richest duck.
The book contains insights into Barks' relationship with Disney and also has some never before released sketches and drawings. There is a short biography of Barks and lots of neat info about Scrooge (how he made his fortune, how he got his first "lucky" dime, etc.
If you ever wondered what it would be like to own a money bin measuring three cubic acres, then you must get this book. Even though it is out of print, check every rare bookstore you can find to locate a copy. Mine is priceless.
P.S. If anyone finds a copy in good condition of the "Junior Woodchucks Handbook", let me know :-)
