This is the set of three volumes containing edited versions of papers and commentaries presented in invited symposium sessions of the Eighth World Congress of the Econometric Society. The papers summarize and interpret recent key developments and discuss future directions in a wide range of topics in economics and econometrics. The papers cover both theory and applications. Written by leading specialists in their fields these volumes provide a unique survey of progress in the discipline. Mathias Dewatripont is Professor of Economics at the Universite Libre de Bruxelles where he was the founding Director of the European Centre for Advanced Research in Economics (ECARE). Lars Peter Hansen is Homer J. Livingston Distinguished Service Professor of Economics at the University of Chicago. Stephen J. Turnovsky is Castor Professor of Economics at the Univeristy of Washington and recently serves as an Editor of the Journal of Economic Dynamics and Control. Professors Dewatripont, Hansen, and Turnovsky are Fellows of the Econometric Society and were Program Co-Chairs of the Eighth World Congress of the Econometric Society, held in Seattle, Washington, in August, 2000.

These handbooks present the latest civil aviation directives gathered from the Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR) and the Aeronautical Information Manual (AIM) for pilots, flight crew, and aviation maintenance technicians. All regulations that have changed since the last release are precisely marked and indexed to provide a clear listing of subject matter and to refer pilots and staff to the correct paragraph or regulation number. It makes it even more difficult to read, as IMHO, subsections should be indented. Much easier to read if that were the case.
Don't believe me? Pick up the Jeppesen version. You'll understand more, and you'll go to sleep even easier.
Good reference book...but.......2005-09-29
The particular copy of the book I received had about a dozen pages in the middle that had a two inch section cut off. Whoever packaged the book for shipment must have known this because the strips that were cut off were inserted into the book at a different location (like a bookmark). I would have preferred to receive the perfect copy for which I paid.

Ha! I couldn't agree with the first reviewer more! But seriously kids, take it from a CFI: this is probably the most handily packaged/formatted FAR/AIM publication available for the GA or charter pilot. And what a page turner!
