DYNAMIC OPTIMIZATION AND DIFFERENTIAL GAMES has been written to address the increasing number of Operations Research and Management Science problems (that is, applications) that involve the explicit consideration of time and of gaming among multiple agents. It is a book that will be used both as a textbook and as a reference and guide to engineers, operation researchers, applied mathematicians and social scientists whose work involves the theoretical aspects of dynamic optimization and differential games. Included throughout the text are detailed explanations of several original dynamic and game-theoretic mathematical models, which are of particular relevance in today’s technologically-driven-global economy: revenue management, supply chain management, electric power systems, urban freight systems, dynamic congestion pricing, dynamic traffic assignment, electronic commerce and the Internet. In addition, there will be some more traditional applications with useful pedagogical content included in Chapter 1.

The book combines an emphasis on deterministic models and methods along with an introduction to stochastic optimal control and stochastic differential games. And most important, the book covers both theory and applications. It develops the key results of deterministic, continuous time, optimal control theory from both the classical calculus of variations perspectives and the more modern approach of infinite dimensional mathematical programming. Infinite dimensional mathematical programming provides greater utility for solving continuous-time-differential-game problems.

Wonderfully written........2007-03-16

I'm not a sales person by any training, but I enjoyed reading Ted Tate's "Just Sell It" book. It's written in simple, easy to understand terms that make you just want to get out there and try it! It seems his book takes away some of the fear of rejection faced by pointing out the need to be assertive not aggressive with your customers. This book is essential for running a small business and getting the orders you need to keep your business moving forward.

This book really gives step by step information on the selling process. I like the fact also that this book is easy reading, right to the point, every chapter. Being somewhat new to the selling process this was a big help.

The author really knows his stuff, he shares all kinds of great selling strategies and techniques. It's really just chocked full of new information on the selling process. I reread it all the time. I also enjoyed the chapters on time management and personal goal setting.

Anyone who sells can't miss getting good information from this book. It's just great! I hope he writes a follow-up book soon.

An Excellent Book!.......2000-02-07

I've been in business for myself for 2+ years after +/-15 years in corporate america. This book has helped me tremendously. It teaches the basics of sales for those of us who have always said "I'm not a salesperson." I've read Ziglar, Hopkins and Schiffman among others, but this is the book I've been searching for. It is very encouraging and I give this my highest recommendation for the entrepreneur without developed sales skills.

Well documented with empirical data.......2000-10-23

The author uses more than adequate empirical data to demonstrate her thesis. In July 1998, I received my 10 gallon donor certificate from the American Red Cross. I believe that this is 1:10,000 of the eligible donor population, i.e., age 18-65, weight >110 lbs. I began donating in Aug 1976 to corroborate my altruism as a Peace Corps volunteer, 1970-72. This book is highly recommended.

1º La Globalización, sus causas y sus efectos.

El error de pretender resolver los problemas del siglo XXI con los métodos y procedimientos del siglo XX y anteriores.

2º EL Paraíso, un concepto real y modesto, abierto a todas las opiniones y;

3º El Hombre y la mujer, la humanidad que va a construir ese Paraíso.
