It is a sad commentary that the greatest text book in intorductory economics is now out of print. This book goes beyond the economics of carrots and parsinps. It has witty and stimulating discussions of property rights, contracts, trade markets, copy rights, etc. In sum, the market does not always recognize quality.

This book let me underdstand why the relative prive affect the present value and transaction costs of the goods. (The relative prive affect the tradeoff of present goods and future goods with regard to the existence of transaction costs) Very good in micro, but macro is not concern, may be the symptom of the schools of property. The velocity of momey is not fully investigate. Does the school of property and monetary are go hand by hand.

        In most cases the problems caused by financial globalization are identical in various countries, which is why it is especially important to develop some standard solutions. Nevertheless, it is also doubtless that economic "recipes" for "small" and "big" countries can be different and it would be a mistake to apply only a uniform approach to all of them.

        The book evaluates an international financial system development potential in the context of "corporate crises" started in the USA and a probable impact on international financial markets and business activities. With the introduction of the Euro, a "new three-pole world currency system" was established. In this connection, two quite sensational forecasts made during the last two years regarding the collapse of the US Dollar are analyzed. These forecasts make a pretty "gloomy picture" of the future of both the US Dollar and the international monetary system.

        The book draw reader's attention to global exchange rate instability and its implications for Georgia. It is demonstrated that as a small economy, Georgia cannot have any substantial influence on global economic developments; however, if it succeeds to pursue more-or-less reasonable economic policy, it may generate some positive results, or at least minimize negative ones.

          I have been full time in the real estate business since 1956. This, without a doubt, is one of the best books ever written, concerning real estate. It is not only good for the new person entering real estate, or thinking about entering, it is also excellent for those that have been practicing for a good number of years. I purchased a book for each of my agents and we reviewed it page by page in subsequent Staff Meetings.

          In addition I have purchased several to give away to potential agents. I want them to know what is required to be successful in this business.

          As a broker, I'm always looking for new material for training my agents. This is the BEST book I've found for new real estate agents in the industry. Being a realtor is not easy, this book helps answer a lot of the questions that a new agent has. I would recommend reading this book BEFORE you decide to become an agent as it may help you with that decision. I would also recommend to read for anyone that is just startig or perhaps has been in a while but not quite making the amount of money or sales that they are happy with.

          This is a good beginning start for a 'new' real estate agent. It provides a stepping stone of information and gives perspectives of what you could do in the beginning of your career. Be mindful that you are working for commission and customers is your number one goal. Having customers, being able to network and create leads are three primary necessities. Please note the strategies here are not at all canon. In other words, you need to re-adjust strategies based on your location and your situation. For instance, in one part of the book, it tells you to go with a large brokerage to get your feet wet, but that may not help if you're looking for a mentor, as many large brokerages, especially commercial ones, do not have the time nor are they interested in raising another competitor.

          Overall the book is solid, in that it provides a stepping stone.

          If you're really new to the business world and sales or a recent college graduate like I was when I bought this book then by all means read this book!!!!!
          You will get all the information in this book if the company you work for has a good sales training program. But if you want to get a leg up on the competition read this book before you get your first sales job, or while you're still in school.

          This book has some great advice for the beginner and a lot of wisdom about success in life in general to those in the working world. I wish I had read it when I started out. The author provides a road map to success which if followed will surely help the sales professional to avoid the many pitfalls which await them in a sales career. A great motivational read. The well written sections and the great layout make it a pleasure to read.

                    I speak around the world on lead generation and marketing strategy. Bob as with his other books did an outstanding job crafting "The Lead Generation Handbook" to give you a roadmap on how to master lead generation.

                    There are few resources I can think of where you can "easily perfect" your lead generation techniques for Business to Business marketing.

                    Bob gives you a step-by-step plan that anyone can follow in their quest to excel at creating leads for their products or services.

                    If you've read some of Robert Bly's other books on Direct Mail --you've read this one. As for chapters other than on Direct Mail, such as "Lead Generation on the Internet", I get the impression that this was written 10 internet years ago. Bly has some good points but you might want to look at his other books in paperback that will be more cost effective.

                    Robert Bly puts out great marketing books... and this is no exception. He is particularly great in this book when he talks about business-to-business marketing. He covers how to make "offers" in your copy... particularly the tried-and-true "Free Booklet" offer. You will become an expert in these after reading this book. I also very much liked the section on marketing via seminars... and even marketing on the internet. I didn't bother reading the telemarketing chapter as I have his telemarketing book that was recently published. I recommend you pass on the telemarketing book... but DEFINITELy get this book. I have heavily underlined my copy. Here's a quick quote from his book on audio cassettes: "Audiocassettes are the easiest and least costly audiovisual medium to use as information bait pieces. Some marketers using audiocassettes think that briefer is better and limit the message to 10 or 20 minutes. But if the tape contains pure, useful information, it can be much longer. I have been successful promoting both my seminars and my consulting and copywriting services using cassettes on marketing and sales topics that are 30 to 90 minutes long." He goes on to point out that cassettes can be used to promote (sample) seminars at less than $1.50 per cassette. OK, there's lots of good stuff here. Well worth the $60. Bly is greatest in the printed mediums... but also understands how to integrate the other mediums quite well. He's just not an expert on telemarketing. Again, this book is rated a "MUST BUY." He is the master of the "Send for Free Booklet" offer... and that's what sales leads are all about. John Dunbar, Dunbar & Co.

                                Initially I was worried this book might be a polemic. However, it is not. In fact, despite the title, I found the book to be a reasonably balanced account of Freeport's involvement in Indonesia and a comprehensive history. The book breaks it down into subjects such as business dealings, human rights, development, environment, etc. The author does seem to try to give Freeport credit and the benefit of the doubt when it is due. However, the picture she paints is appropriately depressing.

                                A must for students of Indonesian studies, development, or corporate social responsibility.
