The book is one of the better guides to writing good resumes. Good examples are provided. But Jackson and company are also pulling a sales scam. Try to download the free templates and you'll find they never arrive in your inbox. Go back to the site in an attempt to really get them, and you'll find they are now $4.95 (because they've already been sent). Beware the liar!

If you are looking for a book on how to accumulate the maximum number of green backs, this book is not for you. If you want a simple philosophy of money which will make you wealthy in more than just the material sense, buy this book and read it at least twice.
I first read this book almost 20 years ago, and every time I got greedy, and broke one of the Seven Laws of Money, I paid dearly for it.

I first read this book several years ago and not too particularly impressed I put it on my bookshelf and forgot about it. The other day it literally fell off the shelf and landed at my feet. I had completely forgotten about the book. It's a short book; why not read it again I thought. I did and was captivated. What happened? I would have given it two stars before, now I'm giving it five. I changed: In the intervening years I have become somewhat financially successful. Back when I first read it I was looking for some method to make money and didn't find it in that book. Now I know there is none. All books are mirrors of their readers as are these reviews. You have learned more about me than you will ever learn about The 7 Laws from reading this review. What can I tell you? Read the book or don't. When you find that no method or technique ever really works then you won't need this book or any other.

michael phillips is one of the most refreshing thinkers in the world of money and business. this book from the early 70's has much important wisdom for anyone concerned with the subject. the original by random house has been out of print for years and is well worth finding if you can get your hands on a copy. it's totally 70's san francisco, but is richer than the shamballa abridgement.

I've read tons of Christian books and have known the Lord for 30 years now. It is wrong to use Jesus for provision when hearts do not understanding that God's kingdom is first. "Grace to Grow" clears up past false teachings about wealth and poverty. God desires for prosperity in our lives that his kingdom on earth might prosper. "Grace to Grow" is finally a truthful book about financial growth and how almighty God drives us to success in life by His grace and our knowledge of His truth.

As a Pastor of the average church I was always looking for practical books and methods to move beyond average. When I first came upon Neil's book I thought, "There is no way simply making room for increase could grow my average church." I decided to try it out in our nursery area. We simply added a separate room and to my surprise it filled up with in two weeks. We have since added four more child care rooms and in two years our children's department has grown exponentially. The practical application of spiritual laws in this book are amazing. Thanks!

I thrive on order, yet somehow there were certain things in my life that managed to stay in chaos. I had always heard that God wanted to give us increase. Or God wanted to give us the desires of our hearts. What I didn't get was why I had desired a Ford Expedition for years and I still drove an old Volvo wagon with a dent in the side. The thing I was missing was the seven laws of divine increase and order. As a mother I wouldn't give my children something that they haven't proven faithful with in the past. So why would my heavenly Father give me a new vehicle when I had two week old fries littering the back sit along with mail from the past month and school work covering the floor of my current car. Why would God want to increase my life with things I desired when I wasn't taking care of the things he had already blessed me with! This book is an eye opener to the steps we need to take to live a life that God will increase!

A truly remarkable book that although it's intent is humorous, provides a deep look at the whys and wherefores of peoples hunger for power and fortune. Having applied some of Chokya's laws, I have already become a wealthier, more forceful bastard and I feel good about it. This is a keeper.

As a project manager Deadline presents actual cases and gives priceless advice about how to deal with customers (listen and involve), team (cultivate and lead) and the deadline itself (take risk and mitigate) from real projects of big "companies". I strongly recommend it.

Most other reviews here are pretty much on the mark - here's a great read with salient lessions drawn from a number of 'premier organizations' about how they've managed to succeed against what are, quite often, immoveable deadlines.
In some instances (FBI kidnapping) I was left somewhat disappointed at the simple instance provided and the lack of any suggestion of reaction to an impending deadline by the agents involved. They pondered, realised and nabbed the offender which was great but I failed to find within the situation given any real scenarios that involved their responses to an impending deadline in a situation where things appeared lost.
However, having said that, Carrison certainly hones in on the FBIs ongoing case analysis and reviews - post incident reviews that provide the necessary updates to current method that do provide controlled approach that limits wasted effort.
At the end of each chapter is a series of bullet points that reiterate the lessons provided.
All in all, a good read and a valuable set of lessons that can be taken away, reflected upon and then applied as appropriate.

Deadline! is a dramatic read. Carrison's book is a narrative success as well as a practical road map for reaching goals and a set of principles for retaining focus and keeping one's wits while working in the "pressure cooker." Carrison is like a veteran war correspondent. He speaks to those who were in the trenches. These stories entertain as well as instruct.

I've just returned from a six-part seminar! My attendance to seminars is always based upon my belief that I can gain at least one important and useful "nugget" to employ in my business or personal life.
Author Dan Carrison embarrasses me! I gained so much critical information through the small "entry fee" that I feel I've paid far too little. Dan's selection of companies and projects for discussion makes this book and its lessons very interesting and quite easy to assimilate.
The writing style is very engaging, descriptive and motivating. "Deadline" has supplied such a "pouch of nuggets" it has made the cut and moved onto my credenza.
If you manage any projects, buy this book!

This book covers every aspect of CRM, on sales and marketing and information technology. Don't expect this book will teach you how to implement it. Please notice that this is not mean to be a technical book, which teaches you how to caculate customer life-time, segmentation or select customers. It outline the technologies and marketing ideas surrouding the buzz word-CRM. Come on. CRM is not the name of a software package, it's about satisfying your customers profitabily.
If you have the interest to drill further, esp the maths/IT, read other books on datamining or database marketing.
Text book - descriptive but not informative.......2005-08-02
I had to purchase this book for a class I'm taking towards my MBA. I have to say that I have yet to read anything in it that isn't just a summary of information I've heard or read before - or even something that's just intuitive for anyone that's been in the business world for just a few years.
Had I known this book would provide such little insight into the underlying strategies and applications of CRM, and would therefore not even be necessary to read in order to write papers or join in discussions for my class, I would not have purchased it.

This is the third book on CRM I've read over the last year and it's certainly been the most useful.
The structure is a little different from other books I've seen on the subject. I guess you could read it end-to-end, but I've found it most useful just reading the section introductions and then dipping into the individual chapters as required. Being honest, I haven't even read all of the content. It's very comprehensive and some of the material just isn't relevant to my work. But the fact I can get to the parts that are relevant, quickly and easily, is what makes this stand out.
Coming from a business background, I also like level it's pitched at. Despite being pretty detailed at times the text is peppered with client examples to show the ideas are still grounded in reality.
So if you are looking for a broad reference source for CRM that puts the emphasis on business as much as CRM then this is certainly worth considering.
An Information Packed Resource on Advanced CRM.......2003-01-16
If you are looking for an information packed resource on advanced CRM ideas and strategies, then I would strongly recommend this book. I own a dozen texts on this subject and this book is one of the best at presenting the key concepts that define state-of-the-art CRM.
I found the chapters on transforming marketing paticularrly interesting. Together, they provided a comprehensive picture of the current challenges in marketing and then discussed the new capabilities marketers should embrace to transform their organizations.
In addition to the wealth of ideas, the book was also filled with industry examples that really helped to bring the topics to life for me. I definitely give this book an enthusiastic two thumbs up.
Not bad, but buyer beware!.......2003-01-03
This is not a bad book and contains some helpful insights in CRM. The chapters on Partner Relationship Management and CRM in Government are particularly good.
However, the title (a shameless ripoff of The CRM Handbook--couldn't the guys at McGraw Hill be a BIT more creative?)doesn't make it obvious that the writers are all Accenture consultants. This book definitely has an Accenture spin (results of Accenture surveys, examples using Accenture partner companies), rendering it a bit more narrowly-focused that it might have been by a more "objective" authorship. And, as is usually the case with a book where each chapter has a different author, the tone of the text varies widely. This is a good book for your CRM library, but be sure and co-mingle it with other CRM perspective so your view isn't tainted.

This book is chock full of great ideas that are completely applicable for anyone who is willing to take some time and effort. It's an easy read and an easy follow. As I read through each chapter, I got more excited about the possibilities not only for me, but for others that I know. I will be recommending this book to everyone I know who is any kind of entrepreneur. My brain is cooking with opportunities and ideas. My husband is a realtor and I will definitely be giving him the book to read next. Of course, not everyone can use every idea, but overall, most of these ideas can be put into practice with just a little imagination and initiative. I particularly enjoyed the Case Studies at the end of each chapter giving real life examples of how to utilize what is discussed in that chapter.

Peter and Tim have done a fantastic job documenting the nuts and bolts of building your personal brand. Tom Peter's in his ground breaking book Re-Imagine tells us that we need to become our own company and sell ourselves to the corporations and then move on. Peter's tells you the WHY, this book tells you the HOW. They have an excellent section at the end of each chapter that leads you through your own personal brainstorming and gives you tips on mistakes to avoid that can kill you. This book is an easy read and one you will want to keep close to refer to repeatedly as you develop your business.

This would have been the perfect book to refer to when I was in clinical. We had the MGH Clinical Procedures book and John Snow's manual, but this goes way beyond those two. Like the previous reviewer, I would carry this book before any others. (It is also available for the PDA.) A "must have" resource for your practice or residency.

This is a must-have for anesthesia residency. It contains complete information not only for po/iv drugs, but inhalation agents as well.
