While this guide may have once been useful, in my opinion it has
become out of date. In my experience consulting firms have recently
dramatically changed the format of case interview questions and more
recent reflection of the new trends in case interviewing can be better
found...

The best way to prepare for consulting interviews!.......1999-07-22

Volume I is excellent - this is even better! I've used both and highly recommend them. Other guides I've seen are not nearly as smart as the WetFeet.com guides. My interviewers were impressed with the skill I exhibited and the insights I offered in response to their case questions. Helped me land a great job at a top consulting firm!

Do you really need more cases?.......1999-03-26

The problem with these cases is that they tend to be oversimplified.
Consultants are not looking for you to regurgitate someone else's
thinking in the form of a framework. It's not a matter of recognizing
this case as a Seven S and this one as a Four P, etc.

While I
think this book will help you if you're just not feeling comfortable
with cases, most would be better served going through the cases
prepared by the Consulting Club at your school (or buying the case
book from Wharton's or HBS's Consulting Club). Then spend your time
talking to second years and alumni who either worked for top-tier
consulting firms before school, over the summer, or after
graduation.

The Wet Feet Press... reports are very valuable
for researching companies, and the Ace Your Case book is very good,
but this one was rather redundant.

Do these jobs seem like you can start them today? I was hoping to find ways to supplement my income, instead these are for unemployed or underemployed people who want to create a new line of work for themselves and are willing to invest some money and time. Also, some of these jobs are specific to areas of the country so if you want to be a script reader or location manager, you will have to move to the right geographically location. Sorry, for those who wanted to stay in Idaho and pursue their career as a party enhancer (p110)!

Sorry, but I've got to agree with other reviewers. This book is pretty much a waste of money, time, and paper. Each chapter was a page or two, followed by a quote (from the book) in bold type, followed by a blank page, followed by the next chapter...You get the idea. Another major gripe: this book was filled with typographical errors. Virtually every page had one, or several typos. I guess the main idea of Mr. Colt was, 'get this thing printed and sold'. There is some good substance. If used, the information in this scanty 'book' would be beneficial. But becoming a millionaire in a year effortlessly? Hardly.

The fact that he came up with a good enough title to get me to spend my money deserves a little credit. Very little. Intriguing title and idea but very little substance here. The book looks and reads rushed; it is filled with typos and half thoughts and very little if any useable specific steps or ideas to actually put into practice. The genius if there is any is that this guy is sitting in his living room somewhere, laughing and watching the sales come in saying to the fools who bought this-"Got ya!" I am one of those fools so believe me this book is not worth your time. Check out "Conversations With Millionaires" instead, it at least profiles several real world millionaires who made their money by providing valuable products and services to the public.

The Book is great!! It gives you and idea on how to change your way of thinking. Its true to become a millionaire you must first start to change the way you think. Everything starts in your head. This book helps you to think positive and maybe you wont become a millionaire in a year but you will eventually become a millionaire if you start taking some action with the things this book tells you. Check it out. The book is not big it just tells you what you need to know.

This book offers nothing that other "millionaire guide" books don't. Anybody who is familiar with this somewhat unconventional genre, can tell that Colt's book is among the worst of the lot.

The book is simply written badly - from grammer to layout to the logical flow of the text. The book does discuss many important concepts (such as the importance of "Dream Time" or planning), but there are countless better books which discuss the same ideas.

2 stars for getting the basic ideas right. If Colt wants more then that, he'll have to actually learn how to write...

The back cover of the book purports to help readers "learn to think, feel and act like a millionaire." The only thing buying this book did was make me feel like a sucker. While I may not always agree with a book's content, this book is so filled with typos and other editorial errors that reading it is impossible. Save your money.

China's Export Miracle is an analysis of China's transformation from a minor player to the world's 10th largest trader in less than two decades. It locates the transformation in the synergy created by new forces unleashed in China and their interaction with entrepreneurs in Hong Kong, Taiwan and Southeast Asia, who invested capital, transferred production facilities and provided the marketing channels by which Chinese goods reached world markets. The book also examines the dynamics behind Japan's increasing role in China's foreign trade in the late 1990s and the growing trade friction between China and the United States.
