This book also breaks new ground in explaining the behaviour of vessel prices, both new and secondhand.

This study argues that the labor market favors graduates who speak foreign languages and have the style and disposition of the elite, a preference that puts female graduates without these qualifications at a disadvantage -- they have to either make do with less rewarding jobs in small-scale firms or stay at home. The aim of this study is to document how this subtle process of exclusion takes place and how less privileged female graduates strategize their options to fit with the structure of the labor market.

This is s a good starting point for new moms considering going into home based business. As you develop your business, you'll likely need more specific information, but Mompreneurs will give you a broad range of information to help you get started. I read this book almost three years ago while nursing my first child. I've been in business for two years at ... and occassionally refer back to the book for reminders.

This book was truly my inspiration for getting off my ... and starting my own public relations/event planning company. I had just graduated from college with a degree in Communications/PR and was working as a marketer when I realized I wanted to be the one deciding what to do with my life. I also couldn't bear only seeing my children for an hour before they went to bed.

I picked this book up on a whim in the bookstore. After reading a tiny part, I knew I had to have it. Just a few months later I have my own business, and am working on my first paying project. This book showed me how to do it, and gave me the inspiration and support I needed.

Saw it on OPRAH!.......2002-06-28

I was just finishing my copy of this book when I saw the authors were quoted on Oprah's show on June 26. I think the authors have lots of great ideas and they obviously have first hand experience. And to see the book and writers quoted on Oprah gave more emphasis to their points. I would recommend this book to anyone who has started or is even remotely thinking about starting an at-home business.

As a psychologist specialising in treating fears, I have a lot to do with media, and needed tools for reducing my own fears when working with these people. I was initially very skeptical of this CD though thought I'd try it anyway. I was really surprised to discover the depth and quality of this CD. My only complaint would be that it is all recorded on one track, so if there is a part you want to listen to, then you have to fast forward for ages. With that said, this author really knows what he's talking about when it comes to media. Simple tips like putting emotional statements into your soundbites and attacking the opposition are just some of the ways of getting media attention. A definite must if you are dealing with print media in any form.

I have recently been a job seeker and this book has been an excellent resource. The internet has greatly changed how we go about finding jobs. It is sometimes difficult to know where to look or how the internet job search differs from the job search of old. Dr. Jane Lommel has had great foresight to perceive this and to write a book at a time when it is most needed.

This book aids job seekers by providing valuable website addresses, good advice on writing an internet friendly electronic resume and other helpful information I have found to be useful in my job search. Dr. Lommel has arranged the websites within three different categories: type, field and state which makes it easier for the reader to find sites that are most helpful. She also gives a brief description of each site and what it has to offer. Everyone will find there are several sites listed that will benefit them no matter what type of job they are looking for. Also the advice on writing an electronic resume was extremely helpful as I had no idea that it needed to be different than the resumes of old.

I believe that this book will aid anyone that is looking for a job whether they are fresh out of college or a seasoned worker. It certainly helped me!

.... One of the major downfalls is itsincomprehensiveness. The six chapters are divided into an introductionabout value, goals, options for managing money, saving money (2chapters), and controlling spending. Although the author coverstopics like credit cards, CDs, debt, checks, etc, they aren't giventhe amount of attention I believe required by today's society. Thebulk of the book describes very detailed budgeting, spending, andsaving methods which are too complicated for the age grouptargeted. .... One useful attribute besides the index and glossary isthe forms for copying which help track income and budget money. It isa pretty useful book if there isn't much literature out there on thistopic.

This book is one of those internally generated corporate propaganda publications, in which each former corporate president or CEO is a towering, moralistic and unassailable figure. The book abounds with tales of eager employees working overtime without pay, as well as stories about shrewd corporate executives running circles around the competition. You will find a bit of general information about Boeing in this publication. But if your intent is to really learn more about this fascinating company and its history, there are far better books available on Amazon.com.
