A nuts-and-bolts approach to writing English.......2000-05-12
If the current edition of this book is like the second edition I've used for many years, it is a shop manual for English composition. Each part of a sentence is defined and illustrated. Most important, all types of sentences are diagrammed (at least I hope that feature survives in this edition). And there may be no better way to understand how a verbal construction works or doesn't work than to take it apart and put each piece in its place in a diagram. Diagramming is also a great tool to use in arguing various points of construction. The book also includes general rules and approaches to building complete manuscripts. And the table of contents and index get you quickly to what you want to know. All in all, an excellent preparation for writing and an equally good reference.

It has consice explanations and practical exercises. Especially for students who want to produce better written output, this book is the best choice. One thing I prefer is that the running head of each page should have full words (not abbreviations)and chapter number and title. It will make it easier to consult.

My parents had seen curb addresses painted in their neighborhood and had even seen a curb painting flyer attached to their mailbox flag. They suggested that I give it a shot and bought this book for me so I could make some money after school. After reading this book, I hit the streets around school. I got 10 hits my first day. $100 isn't bad for 3 hours work especially when some of my friends were only making $7/hr after school. How can you beat being able to work whenever you want and make a few dollars. Thank you for writing this book. I would recommend it to any student looking to make a few extra dollars. An easy read!!

I have often said that do it yourself or self help books are regurgitated information researched by reading other people's books and changing the configuration of information. I hate that. This book is not like that. The writter comes through as straight forward, no bull. This book is not written by someone that thinks they may have stumbled on the secret to credit repair. This guy reviewed loans and knew what would and wouldnt fly. He tells you exactly what creditors are looking at and how to appear more credit worthy.
I have about 3 credit repair books at home. They are 90% yada yada and 10% good stuff. This book skips the yada.
Note: This book at first glance looks like its homemade. The text is double spaced, large font and the typesetting kinda sucks. I wondered what I had bought. After I read it though I am convinced it was worth every penny.

This book really helped with the nuts and bolts of dealing with credit issues. It does a good job of explaining exactly what I need to do to deal with my credit problems and takes you step by step through the process.

This book gets down to the basics. It is a hands on guide to help you correct your credit issuses. Hunt takes you step by step to get a leg up on the credit industry and end up where you want to be. Great book if you need to fix somethings before going to get a mortage or auto loan.
