I found Bruce's book to be a very simplistic approach to a perceived complex issue!! He captures Thoreau's way of thinking..Simplify, simplify, simplify!!! His words literally jumped off the pages to resonate within my soul! Great job! When's the next book??

Wow - It's not often that a book motivates me so much that I write an online review and tell virtually everyone I know to buy it. An easy read, Bruce Garrabrandt offers a profound view of human nature in a way that no one has done before. The Power of Having Desire will, in short order, become a staple for college grads as well as those who need to regroup and get themselves out of a rut. Stop wasting time and go buy this book!

Great truths written in easy to read & interesting format.......2004-12-17

This book is easy to read, very interesting and filled with great truths on the subject of how to succeed. I am an avid reader of Zigler, Maxwell, Gerber, Collins, etc. and personally do motivational speaking. I plan to use this book as part of my next seminar and have gotten permission from the author to do so. Anyone interested in self improvement and achieving success should read this book. It is filled with great ideas and takes away the excuses we often use to rationalize our status in life. Bruce has a very easy to read style of writing and shares many wonderful examples of real life successes. I studied the book as I read it. I could hardly put it down until I finished reading it.

A Rushed Book.......2005-06-29

Better called as a booklet, this 40 pages book was rushed out to press, so it came full of spelling mistakes, which becomes very irritating as you keep on trying to figure out what did the writer mean to say.

Although the fact remains, the writer could have pilled up 300 pages, to be only abbreviated to 30 pages, but still such booklet in no way deserves the 10 U$ price tag.

If you like small booklets, go for it, otherwise, look elsewhere. I feel cheated after purchasing it though !

This Books Plan Is Really Working For Me!!!.......2004-05-07

I am a 27 year old History teacher who is buried in school loans and credit card debt. I had $10. left to my name and I didn't know what to do. A friend of mine from the U.K. told me of this book, so I invested the last of my money in it. The book was a God send and it arrested my panic and helped me think straight. I followed the books financial plan that made so much sence to me, that I knew it would work. In just a few months, my financial situation has evolved in a positive direction and I can finally see light at the end of the tunnel. Thank you for this book.

I want to give a copy of this book to everyone I know: I kept having that thought while I was reading the book and moreso now that I have finished it. Which means to me, that I should not give it to anyone but to apply the ideas contained in the book in my own life.
"True Work" is as important as anything that Joseph Campbell has written. It comes from Michael and Justine Tom's own life experience and contemplation of that experience.
The book shows how to integrate work into one's fabric of life, because work is one of life's threads, but it is not the whole cloth. Again, it is a profound work.

I found this book very insightful in a personal way. It has many real life stories and examples of people finding true meaning in what they do, as well as practical advice on how one can apply some of these lessons. Dr. Anthony clearly means well, but this volume was a waste of time for me. It is a loosely organized collection of pithy and obvious observations, anecdotes and truisms. There isn't an original idea or suggested approach in here--in spite of the great title.
