    Book Description

Cast against the background of the global system's political volatility at the dawn of the new millennium, Twenty-First Century World Order and the Asia Pacific looks at how some of the identifiable system-wide trends (e.g., globalization, democratization, fragmentation, etc.) may find repercussions in the region. The book also addresses the question of "comprehensive security," in comparison with other regions, in a wide range of areas including economic security (geoeconomics), environmental security (ecopolitics), and human security. In addition, the book offers a reassessment of the much touted rise of Asia, more particularly China. It discusses the possible link between this shift in the world's power configuration and the projected rise of "social justice" as a guiding force for international relations in general.

        4 out of 5 stars Useful Book.......2007-08-04

This book has sat on my desk for the last year and has been a very valuable tool in my job. I have created some really complex reports with the help from this book. It didn't get 5 stars due to a few vague areas that I feel could have been more thoroughly explained, but overall, a very well written useful book.

5 out of 5 stars Six Books in One.......2003-01-09

This book is like getting six books in one. It features awesome articles about interviewing, networking, how to find an internship, resume writing, you name it. What is really unique is that the book is not written by one person. Rather, it is written by 149 leading experts and specifically for college students and recent graduates.

5 out of 5 stars Great job hunting ebook for college students and graduates.......2002-12-15

I heard about this book from my college career service office. It contains job hunting articles from over 100 college career service office directors and other employment experts. I bought it to help me find an internship for next summer, but it also helped me create a better resume and improve my interviewing skills. Long, but no one would read the whole thing. The book has six sections so you just read the part that matters to you.

                                      Book Description

Built around the one truism of retirement planning-the sooner the better--Feathering Your Nest is for anyone in their mid-thirties on up, proving them with accessible, realistic, and reassuring guidance for creating a nest egg.

Written by a financial writer, the book offers simple exercises to map out a plan and set a dollar figure of what is needed. And then it shows how to grow wealth. Dozens of investment options are covered, while subsequent chapters cover the complexities of insurance, mortgages and reverse mortgages, health care, wills and trusts, and taxes.

Did you know that if you take your $300,000 pension as a lump sum, the government will help itself to $93,000? Or that most retirees will need 60 to 80 percent of their pre-retirement income for a good 20 years after the last day on the job? Now you do--and Feathering Your Nest tells you what to do about it. 92,000 copies in print.
