I picked this up last night and finished it today. The first few pages contain a list of Stock Market Maxims. Just getting the book, ripping the maxims out and posting them on your fridge or PC and throwing the book away would be worth 11 bucks. That not withstanding, the short stories in the book are fun to read and very practical in today's market. If you like market books, I am certain you will like this, if you want to increase your investment returns, buy the book and follow the tenants.

This is NOT the book to get familiar with Wyckoff's specific trading techniques. It's a compilation of articles published in a newsletter that emphasise some basic principles of trading (cut your losses, let your profits run, your trading decisions should be based on market action, disregard news, etc.) and promote his other services. The message: if you KNEW how to trade you would make money. You will not find much more help in this regard. A telling example is the discussion of a figure chart of a stock where you are told that there were 10 different buy signals near the bottom and if you had bought the stock there you could have tripled your money. But there's no mention of where these signals occured exactly or what they are.

I've read a lot about Wyckoff's technique from other authors and I know they work. I would still like to read about them from Wyckoff himself. I keep ordering his other books and hope I will find more specific information.

I was not expecting too much about this book, being a pocket book and only mentioning 50 tips on it (as the title states). But, I got less than what I expected! I could only find like two or three tips in the whole book that were interesting, seemingly helpful or "eyes-opener". Nothing else.

For me, the only good part is that being easily transportable, I could take it to read at the metro, bus, plane, etc. But again, I do not know many more times I can stand re-reading it.

This little, inexpensive book is a real gold mine if you're trying to find creative, effective and painless ways to network, meet interesting new people, or even if you're on the lookout for Mr. or Ms. Right. Ms. Jerome's tips are as versatile and easy to incorporate into your life as they are effective (I've tried some of them and they work!) Plus, it gave me lots of fun ideas for getting friends, neighbors and colleagues together. Buy this book, keep it handy to read at odds moments, and your life will change!

For anyone, like me, who is a little shy, a tad introverted, a bit uncomfortable in crowd/people situations, this book is wonderful!!! It is easy to read and carry, and has concise examples to follow and practice everyday. For someone looking to refresh their communication skills, this book is also worth the purchase. Either way, it's a book definately worth keeping on your personal library shelf permanently!!!

        This is the second book that I have read by Sue Storm, The Angel Lady. The first one, Rx for Miracles, was a huge help to me when I returned to school for my master's. Having recently received my degree, I felt somewhat more prepared to move forward in my career. However, it still seemed as if something was holding me back. After reading this second book, practicing the techniques, and learning from other business people's successful suggestions -- I have now determined my life purpose and am advancing at an accelerated rate!

        The Angel Lady and my Angels have made a major difference in my life and I am convinced that anyone else who follows this advice can also become prosperous. Good luck and good fortune to you all!

          I got this book from the library, and I'm glad I did. This book provides helpful descriptions and ideas of jobs, but it didn't provide the information I wanted on how to obtain them. It provides several website links, most of them completely useless. The tips for resume writing were helpful though. Basically, it spends the first 20 pages convincing you that you want a job, about 100 pages listing types of jobs and what's involved for them, and the last 100 talk about resumes, interviews, and applications. The interview tips are simple like "Don't wear gobs of makeup", no big secrets or really helpful info. To conclude, the book is worth a glance, but the library already paid for it, there's no reason for you to.

          Ms. Vernon's book is amazing. As a teen who has needed to work during summers for spending money I have used this book many times to gain an edge over others who were trying for the same position. The information inside is fun and easy to read, and also very complete. Not only does the book cover how to find a job and apply, but it also gives pointers on how to leave a job so that a boss will give you a good recommendation. You can also take some of this information for job applications and put it to good use when applying to colleges and scholarships. All around it is definately the most complete book out there for teens who are looking to enter the job market.

            I've read dozens of books regarding Christian concepts on finances and prosperity. This book is head and shoulders above most of them. Your thinking about what God determines is correct about how believers should view money and finances will never be the same after reading this book. If you are a Christian, and have been confused about the way you should be thinking about money, you need to read this book. If you're not a Christian read it anyway. You'll learn many new and exciting concepts. I have all of Dr. Whetstone's books in my personal library. His teachings on the gospel have changed my life. I highly recommend this book as well as his other publications.

                When you call a book The 22 Immutable Laws of Branding, you're pretty much ruling out Oprah's Book Club as potential buyers. (Not that Oprah herself isn't a terrific brand.) This is an audiobook for a narrow demographic: entrepreneurs, top managers, and public-relations directors. Coauthor Al Ries comes off like the eccentric genius that most of these managers keep in a basement office, only listening to when necessary. When he says, "The power of a brand is inversely proportional to its scope," and hectors managers with the idea that "customers want brands that are narrow in scope," you know he's right (he backs himself up with dozens of examples), and you know it's the last thing powerful, expansion-minded businesspeople want to hear.                 Excellent book. Although the 22 laws may not be immutable they definitely are impossible to overlook. This book is packed with practical examples of where major corporations failed and succeeded, by breaking or following each of the 22 laws. Definitely must read if you're interested in creating a strong brand.

                I read this book with pleasure. It contains a lot of common sense and showed how people are influenced in their choice of branding features by what others have done and not what makes sense. I hope to use much of the information in my firm for our software branding.

                I must say I have become somewhat of a Ries groupie. Al & Laura Ries along with Jack Trout have created some of the most thought filled pieces within the Branding, Marketing and communications world today. This one lives up the all the hype. The 22 Immutable Laws of Branding is a masterpiece to say the least. I began seeking out new books on the topic and thought why not hear from the gurus of the field. I had read The 22 Immutable Laws of Marketing first and it lead me to this great piece. I am a marketing student not just in the classroom but for life. It is what I do, therefore learning more is what I must do.

                Once you began your journey for more knowlege on Branding and relating fields you will side with this book. Branding lives with the perpection that is placed int he mind of the consumer. In all my many marketing classes have I not discussed the many issues that come up in this book. To be a great marketer or branding strategiest you must seek out information from all levels of the field and then rethink those thoughts in regards to your position and situation. This book places you in the right mindset to do that and much more. So begin the process...
